I can't believe this...I bought this t bird from this gentleman in 2010. I replaced the top when I got it. The car was great. I got more looks with this car, then I got with my corvette. I sold it for a great profit. I hope Chris is doing fine.
My dad's 57 had a zipper along the top of the vinyl rear window, you unzip the window so it laid flat and avoid pinching the vinyl in the center when the top is down
Seems it wouldn't be so challenging if he laid the top out and fastened the rear bits first then the front header bar latches then everything could be easily done by 1 person hmmmm
Ridiculous design by Ford..It basically eliminates the possibility of driving solo with the top down,..kept me from buying a Tbird…I bought a vette instead…Ford should’ve looked at chevy’s design
Man, this really is one of the best videos on this ….thanks for the demo
Just bought a 56 Bird. The owners manual was not so great w/o a drawing. This video is a huge help and lesson. Thanks !

And thats why Miata is always the answer.
Never knew how the first generation T-Birds disse this.
Doesn't look like something you do whilst the light is red.

The best video on this subject.
A job well done ~ thank you for taking the time to show us the right way !
Great video Chris, thanks
Can you leave the rear and side clamps fastened and just fold the top back for a short sunshine spin. Will it catch the wind if you do this?
Doesn't look too bad, at least it's not like the Murcielago Roadster's roof...
Excellent info. Thanks.

I thought the convertible top was permanently bolted behind the back of the seat somehow
I did this myself and had to go see the chiropractor.
