Would you recommend the motif as I have an RD700NX but its so heavy to carry around. ive heard some sounds from the motif and it sounds really good but don't know good it compares to a stage piano

The Powergrand preset from the Motif rack is the same piano sound i had on my Yamaha PSR-450. It was also on many Yamaha keyboards from the 90's/2000's. I think that the Powergrand preset probably dates back from early Clavinova's or the P200 stage piano.

In this video it's predominantly a Yamaha Motif sound, so is probably similar

Hello! No built in speakers on the Roland. I use Alesis M1 studio monitors in the setup you see in the video. They're not expensive but sound great.

There are various versions out there, however all of my Elton work is by ear and studying him performing.
