Brother i do not know the story you related about "difference of opinion" is the same story mentioned in sharh al qawaid al muthlaa...there it is mentioned the son was an aalim ibn janii...he said his father to sit n say difference between scholars if some one ask you a question when he went for a journey...
The story you mentioned in it father was an aalim not son...barakallaahu feek..

Al-‘Abbas ibn ‘Abdul Muttalib reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The religion will be victorious until you pass beyond the seas and fight upon the seas in the way of Allah, then after you will come people who recite the Quran. They will say: We recite the Quran, so who is better at reciting than us? Who has more understanding than us? Who has more knowledge than us?” Then the Prophet turned to his companions and he said, “Is there any good in these people?” They said no. The Prophet said, “These people are among you from this nation. These are fuel for the Hellfire.”

Grade: Hasan li ghayrihi (fair due to external evidence) according to Al-Albani
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يُؤَيِّدُ هَذَا الدِّينَ بِأَقْوَامٍ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُمْ
“Verily, Allah Almighty might support this religion by the hands of people who have no share in the Hereafter.”
Source: al-Mu’jam al-Awsaṭ 1948
Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani
‘Aqil reported: Al-Hasan, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “It is not backbiting to speak against three people: a follower of whims, an obstinate sinner who publicizes his sins, and a tyrannical ruler.”

عَنْ عَقِيلٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ ثَلَاثَةٌ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ غِيبَةٌ صَاحِبُ هَوًى وَالْفَاسِقُ الْمُعْلِنُ بِالْفِسْقِ وَالْإِمَامُ الْجَائِرُ
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Seek refuge in Allah from the pit of sorrow.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, what is the pit of sorrow?” The Prophet said, “It is a valley in Hell from which Hell itself seeks refuge one hundred times a day.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, who will enter it?” The Prophet said, “The reciters who only acted to be seen.”

Grade: Hasan (fair) according to Al-Tirmidhi
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَعَوَّذُوا بِاللَّهِ مِنْ جُبِّ الْحَزَنِ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا جُبُّ الْحَزَنِ قَالَ وَادٍ فِي جَهَنَّمَ تَتَعَوَّذُ مِنْهُ جَهَنَّمُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَنْ يَدْخُلُهُ قَالَ الْقُرَّاءُ الْمُرَاءُونَ بِأَعْمَالِهِمْ
This dunya is not worth it afterall. Even the Qur'an can turn you arrogant by wanting to show off. There is no one except the religion defeats. Nobody is immune from the fear of Allah not even the messengers. In fact that's by what they're measured and why our prophet salalallahu alayhiwassalam is the highest. Even this is showing off. Do we show off by stating the truth and looking arrogant. Then it's just an example of how to not use the truth.
Malik ibn Anas, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
لا يَنْبَغِي لأَحَدٍ يَكُونُ عِنْدَهُ الْعِلْمُ أَنْ يَتْرُكَ التَّعَلُّمَ
It is not befitting for anyone with knowledge to give up learning.
Source: Jāmi’ Bayān al-‘Ilm 423
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
أَلَا إِنَّ الدُّنْيَا مَلْعُونَةٌ مَلْعُونٌ مَا فِيهَا إِلَّا ذِكْرُ اللَّهِ وَمَا وَالَاهُ وَعَالِمٌ أَوْ مُتَعَلِّمٌ
Is not the world cursed and everything in it? Except for the remembrance of Allah and what facilitates it, the scholar or the student.
Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2322, Grade: Hasan
Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
مَنْهُومَانِ لا يَشْبَعَانِ طَالِبُهُمَا طَالِبُ عِلْمٍ وَطَالِبُ الدُّنْيَا
The seekers of two concerns are never satisfied: the seeker of knowledge and the seeker of the world.
Source: al-Muʻjam al-Kabīr 10239, Grade: Sahih
Ka’b ibn Malik reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
مَنْ طَلَبَ الْعِلْمَ لِيُجَارِيَ بِهِ الْعُلَمَاءَ أَوْ لِيُمَارِيَ بِهِ السُّفَهَاءَ أَوْ يَصْرِفَ بِهِ وُجُوهَ النَّاسِ إِلَيْهِ أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ النَّارَ
Whoever seeks knowledge to impress the scholars, to argue with the foolish, or to attract the attention of people, Allah will admit him into Hellfire.
Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2654, Grade: Hasan
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
مَنْ سُئِلَ عَنْ عِلْمٍ عَلِمَهُ ثُمَّ كَتَمَهُ أُلْجِمَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِلِجَامٍ مِنْ نَارٍ
Whoever is asked for knowledge and he conceals it, Allah will clothe him with a bridle of fire on the Day of Resurrection.
Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2649, Grade: Sahih
Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
مَنْ قَالَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنْ النَّارِ
Whoever speaks on the Quran without knowledge, let him take his seat in Hellfire.
Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2950, Grade: Sahih
Jabir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
إِنَّمَا شِفَاءُ الْعِيِّ السُّؤَالُ
Verily, the cure for ignorance is asking questions.
Source: Sunan Abī Dāwūd 336, Grade: Sahih
Jundub ibn Abdullah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
مَثَلُ الْعَالِمِ الَّذِي يُعَلِّمُ النَّاسَ الْخَيْرَ وَيَنْسَى نَفْسَهُ كَمَثَلِ السِّرَاجِ يُضِيءُ لِلنَّاسِ وَيَحْرِقُ نَفْسَهُ
The parable of the scholar who teaches people virtue but forgets himself, is that of a lamp giving people light while it burns itself.
Source: al-Mu’jam al-Kabīr, Grade: Sahih
Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
إِنَّ أَبْغَضَ الرِّجَالِ إِلَى اللَّهِ الأَلَدُّ الْخَصِمُ
Verily, the most hated man to Allah is the one who is ‘fiercest in argument.’ (2:204)

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
الْكَلِمَةُ الْحِكْمَةُ ضَالَّةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ فَحَيْثُ وَجَدَهَا فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهَا
The word of wisdom is the lost property of the believer. Wherever he finds it, he is most deserving of it.

I'd rather take from DUS Dawah etc than fame seeking frauds such as M Hijab and Ali Needs Dawah.

السلفية هي الكتاب والسنة النبوية الصحيحه وفعل الصحابة رضي الله عنهم والتابعين ومتابعي التابعين أي القرون الثلاثة الأولى ومن اتبعهم ليوم الدين وين البدعة فيها ؟؟؟؟؟؟
