I saw this movie first run in the theater. Great looking movie on big screen, but looks even better digital. Sam Raimi and comic book heroes in action seem like kismet. Please see Dr. Strange & Multiverse of Madness to note he still has his touch.

Dark and gritty, just the way I love it! Tragic, anguish and vengeful with his face, identity and life taken away from him just because of some profit making conspiracy, a kind doctor hellbent on living to eliminate those who have wronged him and his beloved. . "I'm everyone, and no one; everywhere, nowhere.. Call me, DARKMAN" ! He ain't no hero nor was he a villain, but a man completely destroyed and broken from the inside and out, with nothing more left inside him, to lose, to love, not even to fully hate for his physical enchantment compensates all, but at the great price of losing his sanity too. 😢 He's indeed one of my favorite superheroes/or more like Antihero from comics to movie. Badass and darK! Ps, Julie and the Villain boss are damn good as well, as for Julie, that's true love we're talking about, it pains both to see each other ending up their future to be together this way, a real tragic. As for the villain, he was so charismatic and brilliantly intelligent in his own way and the actors nailed it! Hope to see more of DARKMAN! Just a hope though..
This was and is a great movie ( most know it was supposed to be 'the shadow ' originally but the rights to it didn't go through ) with what Ramey (possibly misspelled sorry) was able to work with . Having Liam Neeson was a cherry on top . I have heard that supposedly Bill Paxton was pretty sure he had the role and happened to have his buddy Liam tag along to the audition , and that while there Liam somehow was able to audition himself and took the role ...and that it was the end of their friendship...like I said I don't know if it's true or not( like auditioning for roles isn't something anyone just walking in can do / although it's supposedly happened ) anyhow if anyone knows if it's true...tye info would be greatly appreciated . Btw I love both actors and Paxton has sadly left way to young ... just curious if it was true or just some tabloid bs .
When I found that out a few years ago I couldn't believe it was him all these years that I've watched this movie since I was a 90s kid. It blew my mind.
