I wasn't willing to put a tool on it for fear of breaking the plastic. You're more brazen with that, and a lot of times I watch and am amazed at how much further you will go, and yet it doesn't break. I suppose taking the plastic knob off and turning it with the pliers would have been a better option so as not to mar the plastic. What you can do is "dress" any sharp or raised bits on the plastic with a razor blade/utility knife, that will knock them off. The part about opening the book of knowledge, yes, agreed. Most men throw away the instructions right away. I do that too, but read them after, and that's how you learn the other functions of it. Anyway, glad it works now.
