35 years experience here as a don't better. Skip the DP, and stick with the DC. They are technically the same bet, but really they are not. The DC forces you not to chase when a come out 7 is thrown. Nothing worse then sitting with a DP bet for a couple of minutes, finally winning it, and then losing it all back in 2 rolls because someone threw two come out 7s. I don't even think this simulation had a come out 7. On the DC side, if the shooter throws a 7, I can't rebet it right away, unless I bet the DP. Therefore just sticking with the DC forces you to not chase. Also, most halfway decent rolls will have a come out 7 in there somewhere, or they will make at least one point. There is a reason why the DC is the most inaccessible bet on the table, its stuck in the corner, its because the house doesn't want you to use it, they want you to use the DP. A come out 7 is a winner for a DC bettor.
They asked the Greek once (famous Dont bettor) if he were to do it all over again, what would he do differently. He said "I wouldn't lay odds". I stopped laying odds years ago and never looked back. Lets say your first bet is a $100 DC, point 4 with $400 odds. Bang, shooter makes it, you are now down 5 units, guaranteed you are chasing that for the rest of your session. Or worse, you have a point of 6, shooter makes it, then rolls a 4 and now you want to get that 6 you lost back by laying on this hard to make number of 4, and they make it. Also, why would you lay odds for the DP but not the DC bet, that makes no sense. And if I am not mistaken, 3X odds for the don't is not off the flat bet, its off of what you win. Every casino would let you lay $60 to win $30 on a $10 flat bet. But I would never, ever, lay odds. As John Patrick said, you have the hammer to the casino when you avoid the 7, why give it back to them to lay odds? You could also hedge your don't bet by placing a couple of bucks on the hardways.
Don't chase. If someone just knocked down a couple of your numbers, just stand there and let them roll. Likewise, if I win on a rolled 2 or 3, I don't bet that shooter anymore. Hey I won on that shooter whether it was a 7 out or not.
Dont betting is a pyschological grind, all of your action occurs as you passively watch the game, and think about your next move. You win in silence and suffer in silence.
The best dont system is what my dad taught me. $25 is the unit size. One unit on the DC, if it loses come back with 2 units, if it loses come back with 3 units. If that loses. Stop. Wait for the next shooter. Do the same thing with the next shooter, and finally with the third shooter. I have never, ever lost 3X with 3 different shooters. The most I got to was 5X on the 2nd shooter. Its an incredibly boring, patient system that works.

Most of the time the comments section is entertaining, but not super useful. These are great tips, though. I'd love more detail on the strat you posted. For example, if you always start at 1 unit, how did you get to 5x on shooter #2?

I agree with this comment. “Why lay odds when you already have the advantage with a box number?” Just ladder gradually and avoid chasing. If a shooter beats you two or three times -just stand there. He’ll finish and the table will “cool down.” - You can bet on that! Works at the real table and on the bubbles imo.

It’s not entirely clear to me either. you start shooter number 2 with 4X if you lose all three on the first one. Or again with 1X?
