I think a full length nirror would look great to cover the electrical box. It would also be useful for "last looks" before leaving the house! Maybe a lighter ones/easier to move in case you have to get to electrical box. Love your decor!!

I was thinking the same thing, but I cant have any of my full length mirrors up because my little toddler rascal gets super excited by them and isnt gentle at all! He loves to bang on them and I worry itll break 😬 maybe Arrows more gentle though
Hey! Interior designer and stone/tile expert. I 100% recommend for your Island countertop to put a droplet of water on it and see if it soaks in. If it does that usually means it needs a good sealer. You can get non toxic water based ones (my fave is bulletproof from stone tech but I'm also in Canada.) As long as the sealer is a natural finish it won't change the way your stone slab looks! If you seal it you shouldn't have the problem of staining anymore. And there are also products you can get for natural stone that can pull out some stains. Highly recommend going into a granite or marble counter top shop and asking them what sealers and cleaners they sell that are water based and save for natural stone. There are so many options!! I hope this is helpful! Love your videos!

Highly recommend a tapestry over the electrical box because it can easily be removed to use the panel! And it lays flat and takes up little room!
I have no idea how you put together all of these seemingly random “loud” things, but you do it MASTERFULLY. Everything goes together & my brain can’t understand why! Like pinks & animal prints & grays & gold & black & muted greens lol. Idk it is such a cool style & I think you have such a stylish design taste! 🤍🤍🤍🤍
One suggestion. You can put your bike next to that drawer in place of that stool. Pull the drawer a bit closer to the door, then fit the bike in the corner. So you can both have the bike in your apartment and also free the space in front of your closet.
Hey Brittany! Let me tell you about this stuff called “Awesome Spray” you can get it anywhere in the US I’m pretty sure! Spray it on those stains and leave in for several minutes. It will suck it out of the countertops then wipe it off. It’s amazing. I thought I had ruined a rental apartment I was in at the time with a koolaid spill, I tried everything until I found the awesome spray cleaner. It’s all I use now several apartments and houses later! ♥️

For the stain on your counter top try putting a good amount of Baking soda on it with Fairy liquid and leave on for 30 minutes, be carefull if your dishsoap is coloured and if you leave it on for too long :)
Actually, if the staining is caused by tumeric it will just fade from the sunlight and it doesn't even take too much time. Works with stains on clothes aswell, just like magic :)

Make a baking soda paste for your stain on the island. I do tie dye for a living and it picks up all the stains. Let it sit for a little then scrub with a tooth brush.
My daughter loves her tent in her room! I have a circular one & a rectangular one, for going in the corner go with a circle. The rectangle doesn’t look nice in the corner, it looks random but the circle tucks in nicely.
Love this! Wanted to mention I cover my electrical box with a frame but since it’s low maybe you can put a white board for Arrow with magnets. Also definitely contact Hatch you can troubleshoot yours. I’ve heard of other people having similar issues

For your kitchen stains have you tried using barkeepers friend or comet on it? I swear those 2 can get anything off of counter tops. My aunt got permanent marker off of hers when we were kids (no explanation needed lol)

I had countertops that stained easily too, but a neighbor recommended ‘Bar Keepers Friend’ and it is a wonder cleanser! Removed all of the wine stains and scuff marks right off our white quartz counters in seconds. Available on Amazon and cheap. Hope that helps!!

try pouring into a bowl half warm/hot water and half white vinegar. soak a cloth in it. set the cloth on the stain for an hour plus. helped me w my granite!

@@brittanybalyn Using acid on stone could go terribly wrong, Melissa Maker from Clean My Space has a video on it ruclips.net/video/NJ7J94vENz0/видео.html. But you might just get away with waiting for a bit. Tumeric stains fade in the sunlight.
Follow the advice on removing the stains from other people and once you get them out of the counter is stone reseal it. It will help a lot!

I have 2 marble side tables, my husband spilled tea on it and I thought it was ruined forever. Found a video and it removed the stain right out. Grab some baking soda and hydrogen peroxide and mix it in a bowl until it makes a paste and pour it over the stain. You’ll have to leave it over night. Come back and scrape off the solution the next day. It worked for us, hope it works for you 🤞🏼

Just finished your video. We went through what you did but with our house. No form of storage whatsoever. We cannot wait to get more renovations done so to add more storage to the house. I'm trying my best to clean up and get rid of things we no longer need. Trying hard to become a minimalist as much as we can. I think that would be best. I know it's hard with a toddler, but perhaps there are toys she no longer plays with. Other than that, it's a beautiful apartment 😊

The stains should come off with a magic eraser! My countertops do the same thing and it usually comes off.

I’d recommend using a magic eraser to try to get out the stains on your kitchen island! There hasn’t been a stain I haven’t been able to get out even on my also very porous counter tops

Hello darling. I'm an architect and when working on projects sometimes the Engineers randomly decide to put electrical panels in prime areas that become an eyesore (I have big respect for Engineers, by the way....but some times we disagree with form =function). Anyway, an easy fix is hang a nice piece of art over it like a painting, tapestry or macrame hanging piece, etc. Just make sure you screw the piece away from the electrical panel flange, and of course, safely out of reach from little Arrow.. Hope this helps make your entry alcove look more welcoming :)
We took our small room and gave our big room to the girls also. But we bought a house and close in a week! So well all have our own rooms

In regards to the hatch, do you think someone else in your apartment can connect to it? Every time I open our hatch app there’s another child’s hatch that shows up from our apartment! I obviously never touch it, but it’s close enough that my Bluetooth connects to it!
