One big no-no for me is people who expect someone to have everything sorted and no emotional baggage. Whilst a certain amount of past hurt has to be dealt with, we are all works of grace in progress and will never be completely sorted in this life.
Take it from someone who is in the exact same position, ignore what people say about pouring out your personality in your bio, the only way to get likes and matches on salt or any other dating app as a man is if you are good looking. Even if like me you are average looking, that simply is not going to be good enough on a dating app. 7/10 and above minumim to have success.

@@pmnoble4959 Yeah I get what you are saying from a spiritual standpoint, however, there are still people who are visually more appealing than others in terms of picking a partner. What age range are you in? I am going to be 24 this year

To all the men out there, how do you get lots of likes and matches on a dating app? Well its easy.....if you are very good looking....yes thats it. Trouble is, not all men are and that is why some men struggle to get likes and matches. I was on salt for a few weeks and only got 3 likes, all of which were off below average looking women. I am 5ft 11 and average looking facially, yet a friend of mine who is 6ft 5 with a head of thick dark hair and an above average looking face, who was on salt at the same time as me, was inundated with likes and matches. He was speaking to one of the girls and I asked him to send her a pic of me and for her to rate me, she said she thought I was ugly and that she would only be prepared to date and sleep with men who look like my friend.

Due to young women these days having access to dating apps and social media, they are inundated with likes and messages, constantly being told they are beautiful. This has inflated their ego massively and they believe they are entitled to an extremely good looking man. Also, due to them having so many likes on dating apps, that means they have the luxury of being able to just pick the best looking men and that is why us average men don't get a look in.

You only need one person. Go for quality not quantity. And hold the same standard to yourself also about not being overly interested in the superficial. The same could be said generally for men and the age and beauty standard thing. And there are a special group of men and women who are looking for something more meaningful.
