  • @SedimentBuster is a specialized attachment tool designed to break up sediment clogs, agitate and stir water, sediment, and dirt, and facilitate the drainage or flushing of a water heater tank. What sets Sediment Buster apart is its patented air injection process, allowing thorough tank draining or flushing, regardless of whether it has been done recently or not.
Our tool eliminates the need for extra tools like wires or augers at the drain valve, and if you can hand tighten the tool to a water heater and a hose, you are in business.
All of our videos are real coverage of various aged tanks from a few years to 15 years or older. We see immediate results every time.
Plumbers love this tool because it allows them to break through tough clogs and actually drain a tank (not just flush it with water pressure). They also depend on the clear window to see the process so that they don't have to guess if something is actually coming out.
We believe this attachment tool will help people realize draining or flushing a tank doesn't have to be complicated, and with so many benefits, it is a no brainer. Restore hotter water, regain better pressure, remove harmful contaminants, remove harmful hard water sediment, and clean your tank out so your heater runs more efficiently. Use the @SedimentBuster and save yourself thousands!
    So many benefits!
It's EASY TO USE! Hand tighten-swivel makes for a mess-free process. Step by step quick start OR detailed instructions and How-To Videos
You can SEE WHAT YOU’RE DOING! The clear window takes away the uncertainty of not knowing if your tank is draining
It's NON-INVASIVE TO THE TANK! The patented air pressure process does not require any special tools that could be harmful to your tank. No more coat hangers or augers as Sediment Buster tackles stubborn clogs right through your current drain valve with ease.
It's COMPATIBLE TO YOUR TANK - Fits standard 3/4" GHT Drain Valves and the 45-Degree design allows your tool to fit tight spaces and drain up, down or sideways! Also works with a small extension hose (sold separately) to fit into those awkward tank locations
It is built with a FULL PORT DRAIN - Equipped with a full-port drain design to get all the sediment out. Coupled with a full port hose (sold separately), you will ensure all the sediment moves on out
Very EASY POWER SOURCE - Works with any air pump including hand or bicycle pump (sold separately)
PLUMBER'S LOVE IT! This tool was invented and patented by a master plumber who knew first-hand the frustrations of draining older water heaters with sediment clogs. Sediment Buster keeps the water and sediment moving to get that tank empty quick!
You can also GET A SAMPLE! Sediment Buster is highly effective in taking samples of what is at the base of any water heater.
Reset the life of your water heater and bust that sediment right out of your tank!

Add a couple gallons of vinegar inside tank; let it sit mixed w/ water in tank for about 6 hours; then use sediment buster. Just a tip. The vinegar helps break down the minerals from walls, elements and copper rod in tank.

I simply hook up a drain hose, place it in the laundry tub, turn the water back on, and flush for 10 minutes. This seems to get all the crap out every year. My tanks always last 15 - 20 years.

Flushing certainly helps, however I have proven that our device removes large amounts of sediment AFTER flushing. In fact, I have a video where I did just that. Flushed 10 minutes, then cleaned with the SB and it's unique air sucking action. check it out!

It seems to me after all the hot water is expelled from the water heater you need to keep on the cold water inlet otherwise nothing will come out of the tank drain outlet.

That's right! After you have emptied the tank, reintroduce cold water for a short time and use that feed as a second point of agitation. This is definitely part of the process in the instruction videos.

I'm sorry maybe I'm missing something...at the 0:35 Mark you say to shut off the cold water supply. Then at the 1:22 Mark you start pumping air into the sediment buster. In between this time I do not see a step stating to turn the cold water back on. Don't you have to turn on the cold water and have some water in the tank so when you push air in via the sediment buster it agitates the sediment?

      Sorry for confusion.
      1. Open and leave on hot water faucets
      2. Turn off cold water inlet
      3. Use sediment buster to help you drain the tank empty. The repeated air bursts will assist with the draining along with the venting from your open hot water faucets
      4. Once tank is empty, reintroduce cold water for 10-15 seconds, turn off and redrain. Each session will bring forward more sediment and the SB will assist in pulling it out
Repeat this step multiple times until clear.

Where was the use of the air pump? I don't see it in the video. Just the air leaking thing .

He said you can use an air pump from a bike or a air compressor for fast air burst. He showed you the bike air pump hes just using the air compressor. For the video . I believe the air pump is for those that dint have a air compressor or cant offer one
