It's really interesting to see some western countries influences on their cars. Just like JDM has an influence on us. Not many foreign brand though. The last drift event I went to was dominated by bmws, many nissans and a few other brands.

I mean yeah, 10 cop cars (or whatever it was) is a bit over the top but surely you'll understand the reason behind it? Big cities like Tokyo have, believe it or not, pretty restricted amount of parking space. Taking up that space just to hang around is pretty much spitting on the face of the people who actually need that parking space.
