My guess is that after 2017, Anchor Bay's name was changed back to Video Treasures in 2018, and its 1987-1998 logo was revived for the first time on DVD. And the old Video Treasures still lives on to this day.
My fondest memory of Video Treasures and it's logo (the 2nd one) is watching the 1994 children's video "Redbook Learning Adventure with Fluffy Duffy: Alphabetland" when I was about 4-6 years old. "Dame Effel's Feathers" was my absolute favorite song from the video. I never owned any of the Thomas tapes they distributed, but I did have a few of the Anchor Bay era ones including one narrated by Alec Baldwin and I currently have the 2003 logo on a Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood DVD (Adventures in Friendship).
3:53 This version also appears on the two Thomas & Friends DVDs Trust Thomas and A Big Day For Thomas, but only the print logo (they actually use the older version without the Starz byline).
I used to have some Thomas DVDs released by Anchor Bay, but I refused to watch them because I was a little scared of Anchor Bay’s company, or unless if they were reprints by Lionsgate (in which I like better, but some of them were the original Anchor Bay versions) because I liked it better when Lionsgate released them, or HIT Entertainment when their home entertainment company was independent.
Good old Anchor Bay Entertainment, the company responsible for VHS and DVD releases of cult classics such as EVIL DEAD 1 and 2, DAWN OF THE DEAD, DAY OF THE DEAD, MANIAC (1980), Wes Craven's THE HILLS HAVE EYES, John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN, SLEEPAWAY CAMP 1-3 and the films of Dario Argento and Lucio Fulci, just to name a few! Almost half of my DVD collection features Anchor Bay releases, including the titles mentioned! My favorite logos are the Video Treasures and the first era logos, simply for the nostalgia of collecting and discovering many great horror and sci-fi movies!
I think the best icon of Anchor Bay is the sailing ship..it fits the brand very well and I'm sorry about this but it almost looks like it is crashing towards some stretch of island or approaching the terminal
Amazing logo history of Anchor Bay Entertainment, Jonty! My favourite logo from Anchor Bay would be the logo from Anchor Bay Films, and yes, my least favourite logo from Anchor Bay Entertainment would be _the 2016 logo (it's on the same level of the Starz logo from 2016, as it uses the same animation and concept of the Starz logo, which is disappointing and shut down the company on a sour note)!_ And if I have something to say about the 2016 logo from Starz, then that logo is the weakest out of all the logos from Starz, as all of the Starz logos does include an star, which is an decent representation of the company name (at least the 2008 logo _does_ have a star in the middle of the "A" and the "R"), while the 2016 logo dropped the star in favour of just the company name with an basic font without any representation of the company name whatsoever.
Thanks, Man! The logo from Anchor Bay Films is brilliant indeed, especially the flag waving and the design of the boat! The 2016 logo isn't really the best logo from the year, but it is certainly not the worst. Yes, it might have slightly more simple animation, but we get a nice shining effect and calming synth dings. Speaking of Starz, I could do a logo history on that company in the future. Stay tuned for future videos.

Evil Dead! Those movies were directed by the same guy that directed the Tobey Maguire Spiderman films. He also found Renaissance Pictures.
1:58 The background of their FBI Warning looks like this, but its all blue, and there are outlines for each object
In the early 2000s, Anchor Bay bought the UK label Digital Entertainment and established itself over here.
4:13 I believe this was from the DVD of Righteous Kill.

Amazing logo, to be honest. Besides for some reason, I've used to confuse it with the Mandalay Bay brand from Las Vegas.
I agree.
