This song reminds me of my life. I was born with less affluent life, my daddy was in jail for trying to rob a store for money just to be able to buy me a birthday present. He would send me letters and call me the moment he could and tell me he would see his baby soon and that I should continue to be good and stay out of trouble. I remember one Christmas we were robbed of all our presents and stuff we already owned, it wasn't pretty and my mom was super upset about it, she even yelled at me. My mom took up drinking and I was forced to live with my grandparents until mom got herself together. When my dad gets out of jail, I am going to give him the biggest hug any girl had ever given her father.

My parents used to fight really badly and they did drugs. I had no friends because I would go to school I would looking homeless. I loved my parents but I would the to see them fight badly everyday. I would think its normal but I would asked everyone at school if their parents fight and they would give a dirty look. :( They are getting better now and I have 3 close friends. :)
