I don't think they are trying to be like the others. Or trying to be heavy. They are just making the style they want. An old school sound in a modern sense.
Give us your best album pics for Christian metal in the 1980s and 90s. That’s the real era that was strong and bold with Christian lyrics that weren’t afraid to stand up in their faith for what they believe in. Today’s Christian music is too watered-down, even bands are claiming they’re not Christians anymore. It’s a deconstructing mess. Children of God need to be stronger than these weaklings coming out today. Theocracy is an exception, they’re awesome. You can understand their lyrics that glorify and lift up Christ.
In the words of our brothers in Disciple, “THE WAIT IS OVER!”!! And man, has it been a wait. 😂 I don’t think you can wear out digital audio, but I’ve done my best with Ghost Ship over the last 7 years. This single made my weekend that much better. Is the single groundbreaking for them? No, but honestly there is joy in the nostalgia and having them back on the scene still putting out great quality music. Amazing single, I heard it for the first time the other day. Theocracy never disappoints. They may take a while to release albums, but I am okay with that because I can see that Matt prefers quality over quantity, and I do as well. Very excited to hear the rest of the album when it releases later this year. Praise God
