I'm retired and feel like I can do whatever I want now. Also, I'm an ornery old man. I should take a Gender Studies course and totally mess with everyone in the class - especially the teacher.
I took a gender studies class in college, it's not even funny how accurate this actually is.
EDIT/UPDATE: I didn't take the class because it interested me, I took it because it fulfilled an elective credit requirement and all the good classes were already filled up/taken by the time I was able to sign up for classes. Thought I'd make that clear since lots of people are commenting and asking "Why would you take that class?"
In some way, I'm glad I took the class just so I could see firsthand exactly what kind of nonsense it actually is.
I did as well, sadly. I was literally the only man in there lmfaoooo

Yeah cuz these freaks aren't taking over the world or nothing. Pretty sure history (if humanity survies) will be inaccurate like always and make it seem like we were all fighting for this stuff. Kinda like how they pretend the "hippie movement" was such a big deal.

For some reason I don't know why I've always found it annoying to be called dude. I will allow it and I won't say anything About it.
I don't really mind so much if it's someone I just met and they don't know my name Or if they forget my name, I'm okay with that.
But for someone who just keeps on calling me dude I really can't stand it.
I'm not a dude and I hate being referred to as a dude. But again I'll keep quiet about it because that's my problem.
I recognized from the other persons and that they're just trying to refer to me and they're not really thinking about what calling me.
The point is something like to get my attention to communicate to me and I understand that. I don't think any hard feelings are ever meant by it.
So I don't hold it against a person unless they are deliberately doing it Because they know I don't like it. Then just feels disrespectful.
I think it often lowers my impression of the person.

My very last quarter in college was the only time a teacher ever asked any class I was in our pronouns. I SHUDDER to think that this is commonplace in every classroom now

My daughter attended a small vocational school in the northeast. She was the only Christian and conservative among her cohort and faculty/staff and she was constantly called out and singled out for not being progressive. She lived the reality Misha portrays in her video for two years...stuck it out. We learned so much about this absurdity from her stories. So glad I went to college decades ago and I feel so sorry for the normal kids who just want to get an education and graduate.
She should've been like: "Hi, I'm normal."
I have 3 university degrees and if I had to take one of those insane class I would have left. Thank God I didn't have to be subjected to this insanity !
I'm so envious of America. Here in the Philippines, we have earthquakes, volcanoes, constant typhoons, poverty, crime and diseases. It must be so nice to live in a country where the major problems are just grammar and feelings.

Bruh this is literally the local lgbt group i go to, i witnessed a 19 yr old get mad because someone did not notice that the pronouns on the name tag were changed. For once a they/them did not recklessly apologize for 30 seconds straight.
This is soo true. I went to a job orientation on campus and their main concern was having us reveal our pronouns. Crazy what's going on these days

When i was in highschool in 2008 a student loved talking about transgender people and the teacher told him that was inappropriate and he was not permitted to talk about that. I can't imagine what would happen if a teacher said that today.
They'd either get a medal or be drawn and quartered depending on the state and city it happened in.

At the college I went to a lot of professors would ask everyone to state their pronouns on the first day, and the school website would ask you if you had changed your pronouns when you signed in every 3 months LOL

My kid went to a nature camp, where he had to say his name and pronouns everyday. On the last day, the parents attended too, and then we all had to say our names and pronouns. Most of the parents said their pronouns were “they.” One of the instructors said “she/they.” Another one said “she/he, her/him.”

They had classes like this back in the 80s. I never attended. Art history was an automatic A, and it was also educational. Not sure why I'd pay in time and money for gender studies. XX and XY, got it.
