I have a couple ideas for the story (unfinished and I did not proof-read this): Techno: Face it Tommy, you can’t beat me. Tommy: That’s what you think bitch! *Tommy eats a “golden apple”* !!!!! *At whoever’s house that is* Ranboo: What the hell happened?! Techno: Weird story… Tommy ate a golden apple and now he’s poisoned and Do you know anyone that can help? I’ve never seen anything like this before… Ranboo: Neither have I… …I do know one person that can but you’re probably not gonna like it. Techno: Who is it!? Tell me! Ranboo: It’s Dream… although I’m not sure if he’ll agree to help. *The text after this is based off of a dsmp theory so it might contain spoilers* Techno: (Dream still has a massive plan for the future so I’ll have to act as though I hate him for all he’s done) Can’t we just borrow milk from someone on the smp or wait until it wears off? Why does it have to be him? He might hurt Tommy even more! Everyone knows he can’t be trusted Ranboo: Good point but if the poison’s effects can override a golden apple’s ones, then it means trouble, perhaps enough to actually kill all on it’s own. So a bucket of milk probably won’t do. Waiting it out… well, even less. Unfortunately I think only Dream has the healing powers necessary for this task. Unless you know anyone else of course. Techno: Fine, I’ll try my best to convince him. Wait, how do you even know this in the first place? *at the prison* Techno: (Tommy might still be conscious and listening so I’ve gotta be careful to not mess up Dream’s plan. He’s been planning this ever since L’manburg was blown up) Look Dream, I need your help with something. Dream: and why should I help you? Technoblade: Tommy’s been poisoned by eating a quote unquote “Golden Apple” I need you to heal him Dream: couldn’t you just grab a regen potion or milk? Technoblade: Well the thing is, I checked and it wasn’t a renamed item, so someone managed to invent a poison that could cancel even a gapple’s effects. Huh, now that I word it like that it sounds like trouble… Dream: *sigh* fine… but I’ll have to deal with that person as soon as I get out. (Tommy is essential in my plan anyway so I’ve gotta keep him from dieing.) *explanation: Dream wants to rule the smp and he knows this person will threaten his power. I don’t think Technoblade knows what Dream did in the exile arc, and it’s the only way the story can unfold anyway so let’s just say that he doesn’t. Technoblade knows about mostly everything else though.* Technoblade: I wouldn’t mind that. Dream: I’ll heal him now. *the healing starts* Dream: (I haven’t done this in a while so I’m not sure wether it will work…) … … … Dream: (Damnit! I’m surprised Tommy isn’t dead by now! Technoblade: I understand. He was acting a little off after the healing though… he mumbled something about how no world has a free lunch or something after I left. Tommy: Wait.. didn’t we read somewhere that healing powers always come with a price…? Techno: Crap, I gotta go. *One /tp later* Techno: Dream… take of your mask. (If the book is right… healing powers can cost the user’s health, and if it’s low enough, the body starts relying on the darkness to survive.) *Dream puts his hand on his mask. Pulling it aside to reveal eyes of pure white.* *Teleported Ghostbur to Technoblade* Ghostbur: Oh my god, what happened!? Dream: Ghostbur…? Ghostbur: yes, it’s me. *Dream weakly stands up as the colours on his hair and right eye suddenly start to flash all sorts of different colours, Technoblade and Ghostbur could do nothing but watch as the colour flickered from one to another. After what seemed like an eternity, it stopped at a light shade of grey (gray?) but something was different. Though they couldn’t put their finger on it thanks to the lightning. A pair of pitch-black wings emerged out of the blue from Dream’s back, they could tell the dirty blond was clearly pained from his expression. But at the same time it seemed as though his gaze was blank, staring at nothing. Colour returned to his eyes but the right half of his face and some of his hair were dyed the same colour as the wings. They could only look on as the creature who was once Dream, the founder of the smp, gave them the same unchanging blank stare as a smile crept up to his face. The person who was once the villain of the SMP was now something much MUCH worse, Dream, no, whatever this is, pulled back the hood on Dream’s hoodie as particles of the same pitch-black surrounded him. The particles cleared revealing a red and black hoodie that had replaced the green one that Dream always wore and his green eye giving off a black-greenish glow. Suddenly, he attacked them Ghostbur and Techno with some sort of energy sphere that sent them backwards by a bit* Ghostbur: WHAT’S GOING ON??? Techno: Remember when we tried to find out why healers were so rare because the gremlin child wouldn’t stop bothering us about it? Ghostbur: I don’t quite remember what the price was though… Techno: This must’ve been the final straw for the darkness to take over… Ghostbur: What does that have anything to do with it!? Techno: I’ll explain later, we gotta go warn everyone else. *after that* *too lazy to write the whole fight scene so let’s just skip to when the blueberry head appeared* ???: Finish the fight quick -リ╎⊣⍑ℸ ̣ ᒲᔑ∷ᒷ- Dream ???: we still have things to take care of later… Dream🏱︎: On it. a little head cannon I’ve come up with: Healing powers can sometimes cost the user’s health if they over-use it and sometimes injure them enough for their bodies to start relying on the darkness inside them to survive. Everyone has a bit of darkness in them, the more you rely on it, the more you become like it. It can also become strengthened by certain enchants (the Nightmare armour) or the environment the person is in. Many healers turned to the dark side (and had to be killed) after exhausting all of their power in an attempt to heal people after a pandemic hit long ago (Everyone on the Dsmp are the descendants of the survivors.) Which why healers are so rare in recent times. (This is also why Zombies and Zombified piglins exist. Although the virus that infects the villagers and piglins are weaker than before (the zombies are undead so I’m headcannoning that they can’t die of old age so the virus that infects them is incurable.) And the Piglins have immunity to some degree) so it will be cureable. Also from what I can tell, Techno is an admin in this AU
