Brooklyn’s own BJ Lopez, Miami Marlins Bullpen Catcher and PSAL Champion

In 2012 BJ Lopez was leading Grand Street Campus High School to New York City’s PSAL Baseball Championship. He homered in the championship game against George Washington. Raised in Brooklyn, Lopez is in his first season as the bullpen catcher for the Miami Marlins, after deciding to end his playing career following an eleven year minor league career last winter.
