I've been playing since day one. Currently ranked diamond and I don't have a main. In season 13 I played a lot of Gibralter and loved him but now in season 16 I find my self playing Bangalore, but depending on my games I doubt myself and try to switch to other things like catalyst or maggie or back to Gibby. I really wish I was able to pick one character that I love but I can't. I always watch these type of videos knowing they wont help because at the end of the day they all tell you to play what you enjoy although I don't really enjoy any one character but i also want to play only one character.
@@chriss6671 you me heirloom? 🥺
7:15 😮😮
It's also okay to just not have a main. I'll play almost half of the roster depending on my mood. Only worry about meta if you have a full squad and want assigned rolls. (My opinion)
I’m the exact same way
Yeah same here but it's definitely good to fall back on like 3 legends you know you do well with/ do better with especially if you're having a bad day.
better to have a couple people that you’ve developed max game sense with then to play everyone and only have a average understanding of them
I think it’s super interesting how you say to use a legend that compliments your play style instead of a legend that specifically is your play style. I started off on Wraith and Octane because I love playing fast pace, but I really loved Wattson’s character and wanted to learn Apex on a non-movement legend to not gain bad habits. Skip a few years later and I’m still maining Wattson, and doubt I could ever shift. I play extremely aggro, and instead of having a legend to push that I have her to keep me grounded and playing smart. I love your take on that since a lotta people tell me I should be playing fast paced legends
I can relate so much with the ocatane tip at first, I started playing octane and it’s may main overall, but as you play you may find yourself enjoying other legends too 👌
When u said i should pick whoever i feel like im having fun , that made me sub
The way I started picking up legends is when I die to them if I think they’re OP, or if they killed me in a cool way, or if I want to frag in style or troll teams. I definitely chose Path in season 2 because he’s a friendly robot though.
Incredible video bro, i really needed this
Ye happened to me this season, been a wraith main for 2 years. Finally gave BH a try this season and I love them, Finally hung the curtain on wraith, thank God did not like playing her all that much.
This is amazing! Thank you!
I am always ecstatic to see more people become Wattson mains!
I really never thought I would play Mad Maggie as I never liked her concept-wise, but maaaan I've unlocked her recently and she's the best legend I played. And her kit just seems so cohesive and so synergistic to me and I like everything :D Can't play without shotgun speed boost now :D
Idkw but I got more kills in a season with maggie than any other legend... could a been the mozan and hammerpoints? 🤔
Best aggressive legend in the game
true and real
@ᴍᴇꜱꜱᴀɢᴇ ᴍᴇ ᴏɴ ᴛᴇʟᴇɢʀᴀᴍ👉OfficialDazs it's a trap
Hey dazs I really think you for this vid I just got disoriented on legends due to apex hitting the heavy nerf on a seer but I think you just opened a bridge for me I am now gonna try to get used to other legends in the recon class probably gonna be crypto and try to make a new path for crypto even if I’m not that good right now but I know I will be in the future so I really thank you and hope you will always help people like me
This video hits home especially since I switched from being a horizon main to a lifeline main as of yesterday lol!! The horizon nerf wasn’t the reason why I switched however. In literally all of my games my teammates always go down first. I find it I’m always the one surviving then get 1v3 and killed! Yesterday I gambled and said hmm 🤔….if I’m always surviving and want to bring my team back why don’t I use lifeline? 🤣. Never used her because she didn’t fit my aggressive play style but BOY was I wrong. SHES SUCH A SLEEPER LEGEND!!!
I would try catalyst she's good for area control and you can reset and block off team with her ult to get a res. Teams are hesitant to push a catalyst ult. I play defensive legends. My main is Watson and use to be lifeline but I found this season catalyst is good for area denial and blocking doors, pathway or in the open with no cover for a quick res. I've been struggling for 2 season because I solo que and I've been hard stuck plat even though I'm diamond but today I went from silver 2 to gold 3 in about 6 games just hard carrying
There's a lot of people who are smurfing with their friends as well so this season is hard. Ive been noticing a lot of bronze players with a 20bomb teammate which doesn't help either 😂
Agree! They just mad cuh she was super op s1. 2 hard nerfs and she still a queen
Newcastle is another one kinda like that. His res is absurd with his wall
My first ever main was Lifeline. She's an amazing legend and I still use her to this day. 😂
Awesome thanks for the advice
I went from mirage to Bangalore to wraith to octane to Ash to Newcastle to mirage again I realized I like to mess with other teams and protect my team and support my team
I remember one day in s9 I wanted to play Watson and I enjoyed her ever since until s15 when I played catalyst, s16 I tried Newcastle who is really good but too big of a box, fun to play with friends tho. I went back to Watson but then went back to catalyst lol
Yeah honestly I would main newcastle again but his hitbox is too big for me to make certain movement plays
Well said dude.Ty
Ever since I have started I have bounced around a lot and I mean for like 2 years and still am but octane has always seemed goofy and cool to me but he doesn’t have team usage except for ult but I am going to commit and play him
Unlocked Newcastle yesterday because his kit looked awesome, but have been struggling a bit when it comes to the usage of his abilities. Here's to hoping I'll at least get the hang of it a little bit soon!
Going into the test range and just spamming them is helpful too. I know it seems dumb, but comfort of knowing how far something goes or timing goes a long way. Example: I have played so much Loba at one point I can tell you when her Loba ult is ready on teammates who play her.
these are kinda obvious but some tips I have are
in early game it helps if you treat his tactical ability like a gibraltar dome by peeking in and out of it (if someone holsters while repositioning it is free damage because they will not have their gun back before you go in cover). If someone tries to challenge you in it just move the wall
reviving someone can sometimes work mid fight (if you have cover of any kind or you'll get melted when they're revived) but it stands out in repositioning downed players. You can use / play around your wall while reviving too.
for his ultimate it can sometimes be good for gaining height quickly but obviously it gets best range going to teammates, so because of that you also don't have to stick on top of them and you can easily stabilize an overwhelmed teammate... you can also block doors
**I forgot that some characters are so wide, so their shoulders peek ages before the player's screen is past whatever cover
Wow thanks guys, I'll be sure to make use of these tips!
Good choice bc imo Newcastle is definitely still meta and is one of those sleeper picks right now. Having a 500 dmg shield every 15 seconds is stupidly strong when you learn how to play it. His res can also easily put a losing fight back in your favor. Essentially making that 1st knock on your team irrelevant bc you'll get that res off id say 8/10 times when lifeline is kind of a 50/50. As long as your not the first one down of course. So a tip for when you play Newcastle is think of yourself as the anchor of the team, and use your ult more often to join fights than walking up. Because when you land on an enemy it stuns them. Ive won many 1v3s and 1v2s by landing on them with a Newcastle ult.
As someone who started off with Octane because he got me into the game for being so goofy, I did get some backlash as a "beginner" octane player in lobbies as I didn't really know how to use him. Then I switched to Revenant because he is so creepy, I love him. Finally got back to octane now that I have his heirloom and having a ton of fun!
Absolutely agree with the fact that you should play who makes you happy and vibe with.
Ok because I really like octane but people tell me to use horizon because I dropped 14 once but I don’t like her
@@ghosxtlucky6771 I find that since I lot of people play octane, it's really good to have a back up main that you can actually play, even if you don't vibe with them as much as octane. For me that's Revenant.
@@IsouDMI mommy second is either horizon or wraith
@@IsouDMI having a backup main is a must if you runs popular legend although most of the time I get octane sometimes I have to take pathy. i can't decide who to pick. i played a lot with Valk, Caustic, Horizon and bloodhound but i find Mirage and Newcastle extrem cool too. now my problem is, that i change every 3-4 game the legende.
stick to 2 legends, forget how cool u find a legend), then play both and see how u do, when you find 1 who u like, play it for a month, if u still like em, continue playing with
Who should I play I’ve played Fortnite and overwatch in the past and I can’t find a character I feel used to and comfortable on and that I like. Any suggestions?
How I found my main was I put every legend on a wheel and spun it until there was 1 legend left and forced myself to play that legend
I started playing crypto because he looks cool then he got his buff a while back and then I started fully maining him
I see idk I'm usually an octane main but now so many ppl use it when I'm on a team so I can't use him. I want to learn how to use wattson but at the same time I wannabe movement player or an aggressive one
I´ve been playing Crypto for a year and a half, I collected almost every event skin he got since then, I spent a lot of money on him and I even bought an heirloom on him half year ago but I feel like im getting burned out and I am confused who to main at this point.. I played Valkyrie time from time, then I played Fuse a little bit but in the end I always returned to my boy Crypto but honestly right now I feel lost and I don´t really enjoy any legend.. Any tips?
Tysm I was struggling finding my main until this video because I have wraith heirloom but I want to main crypto and I have figured out I play better with crypto.
oof, u did lose a heirloom, unfortunate
I have 1000 hours so this vid isn't necessarily for me, but this is hands down the best "how to pick your legend" video.
Is it weird to say that even though ive tried majority of characters, that I havent found a character that completely suits me?

I've been playing since season 0. In season 0 I played Bloodhound, then in season 1, I immediately moved to Octane. I played him, had fun with the game until the season when they nerfed every skill of him. The jump pad is loud, the stim takes more HP... Somehow I've lost interest to play him. I wanted to return to Bloodhound, but when I saw that they also nerfed her, I broke down. I don't know who to play. Since the beginning of the season, I play someone else every day and I can't choose anyone. Every friend tells me to switch to Pathfinder, but I absolutely terrible with his hook
I like octane because the speed movement aim and aggressive
I enjoy playing Rev but have the most Kills with Ash 😅
I want a main but I don’t want to pick a main who everyone plays (I want to main pathfinder) I just want to be able to play someone who I have cool skins for who I like but I dont wanna main path when literally everyone plays him
Amazing vid I can not decide on loba or horizon. Could you give me a tip for deciding...?
When you are Horizon, how is your loot pattern? If you loot pattern suffers, stick with Loba or train it as Horizon. When you play Horizon. Are you using her full kit? Are you finding ways to get to height and use her ult? Which legend do you feel you are playing more aggro as? Then end of the day. Which is more fun for you right now?
I’m having trouble picking my main, and I saved up to buy an heirloom but I haven’t decided on who to Main yet. I like being pretty aggressive and I feel like I always get caught in 1 v 3s because my teammates die before me, so I want someone aggressive but I like someone with some support and outplay potential, any thoughts?

Hey Daz. I’m really struggling with my mouse sensitivity.. I feel like I should be beaming at this point but I feel like I can not be consistent and I’m wondering if my sensitivity is off. Can you make a video on this a bit more intermediate level or in depth please? I love all of your videos and you’ve helped me tons already!
Come check out dasz discord. We all try to help each other and improve while having a good time doing it. Link is in description
Edit: also, all his videos are assigned by type. Way easier to find specific videos there... ik he has made videos on the questions you asked.
I am struggling with that myself but I might have found a solution that worked for me... At first go to firerange and try to switch between targets really fast, 90 or more degrees apart from you . Now you see if you need to increase or decrease sensitivity until you can change targets fast and accurate... Then lower it a bit and get used to it ..
For me it was a vision problem. That's the very base of aim, your own function. If you focus on aiming while being completely relaxed, with relaxed hands, arms, shoulders, and vision, you will have a much more consistent sense for aligning the centre of your screen, you will start beaming people and naturally tracking them. This will be even more beneficial if you are someone who's body or head physically moves during gameplay, or feel like your eyes lose the target a lot. Don't make your eyes do the heavy lifting. Let them zone out almost, and aim peripherally. I found this to also be the most effective way to get into that flow state where you feel like you're beaming everyone. If you can be in an intense fight, and your eyes don't squint, your hands don't tense up, you don't grip your mouse tightly, and you don't lean forward, I promise your aim will reach a new level.
@@Jake-nb2en wow. That’s pretty fantastic to imagine honestly.. I know breathing would be the first step but what do I focus on next?
@@WestCoastFloridaFishing Since you need to overcome your usual habits and mechanics, it needs real conscious effort to change. I see it as simply a full body and mental relaxation. Breathing being part of that too. You could run some team deathmatch and go in with the sole focus to be detached from each fight you have, even if its a super sweaty fight. Make a mental note to remind yourself before each fight to stay as calm as possible (as in literally loosen your body, and remove the mental attachment to doing well). I honestly think forcing yourself to be completely calm is a great way to fix any mechanical issues or habits, and its what all of the professionals have. All of the best players are extremely calm, most of the time. I also noticed that game sense and self discipline to not make stupid decisions really improves simply from being relaxed. There is a paradox with it, because the urge is to jerk and tense as a reaction to a fight, and being relaxed feels as if its detrimental in the moment. But its actually where flow state is.
Hey Dazs my aim is good and my movement is ok but i want to get better at both
How do I get those legend skins? I can’t craft them
level 300 here and no main. It's so hard. Almost every character is so fun. I don't know who to pick.

To narrow your choices down, eliminate the legends who you least play with, legends who you struggle the most with. Now to find the perfect main, choose legends that every time you start playing Apex, you choose that legend in a heartbeat, you are confident to using that legends kit that in most situations you know how to turn an advantage to a disadvantage to an enemy and turing a disadvantage to an advantage for yourself
Who would you recommend for a slower kind of player I kind of like to stay back, but will take on a fight if I have to
Crypto?
Since your saying your a player that tends to not play as aggressive, the easiest Legend for your style of play is Lifeline because she is meant to positioned back of her squad providing cover fire and using her abilities for teammates to fall back to if needed. Other legends for this play style is defensive legends like Wattson, Rampart, etc
Past few seasons I didn't care about other legends, I only played Rampart. I collected a lot of trackers, skins, and even a nutcracker. But this season I feel like I lost spark on her to the point where it is very confusing who to main, it's either stick with Rampart or start with Wattson. Wattson is very enjoyable for me recently. Fyi I'm a sniper and support on my team (I never do entry). Any idea?
Vantage seems like a solid option for your play style
@@nathh9744 I think you are right. Do you have any recommend about her weaponry combo?
@@xineus8982 of course her ultimate is a sniper, so maybe use the Nemesis/R-301 as your mid range and then whatever your comfortable with up close, r99, peacekeeper/mastiff, whatever feels best for you man
Hello Dazs and everyone, I am new to apex and I like it very much, I have a stupid question but is because I haven’t payed this season yet, and it is, even if I only have unlocked octane I can still play every legend in the firing range? Thanks very much! I’m from Xbox
Yup! You can play every legend in the firing range
I was in a match with Matt pick as champion with mirage just before clicking this video
valid but problem is... how do u not get bored of a fun legend
I cant choose between valk, bang and horizon
I like legends that favor a specific weapon suggestions?
If you want to pick your main, just be honest with yourself. Mobility legends only shine when you can truly frag out. If you’re a smart player, play a support legend since you’re the last one to go down. Lifeline and loba imo are the best ones. If you’re a patient player. Try defensive legends. They’re chess players. They excel at capitalizing on enemy mistakes. Which they always will.
Is it okay to have more than one main? Haven't touched the game in years and have just recently jumped back in. Is it still good to mainly play like three different Legends, instead of just one? Would love for anyone to chime in!
Yes it's good to have at least 2-3 to rotate between, in case your mains gets taken.
@@lavender_raine Allright. Thanks for the quick answer!
Yeah it honestly doesn’t matter if you have a “main.” Everybody just says that tbh
I’m stuck between Lifeline and Newcastle..thoughts?
Lifeline is easier to manage. Do you find you can position well with her and maximize on her rez? Are you in the fight right behind your entry fragger?
Perhaps you are more defensive as a newcastle and walling corners and bringing back teammates to better ideal locations. Using his shield can also be helpful for pushes.
This is all knowledge in how you position and help the team! They are similar but still very different. Which is more fun?
Also which do you make less or more mistakes on? Does the drone help you, but causes you to get overconfident and make incorrect pushes?
Dazs question what kind of team comps would be strong or fun with mirage
Mirage and your teammates that already left cuz ur a mirage
@@MrTubbChubb that’s rude
@@marsalekyou2501 I’m just playing, now with his buff he is good. Prolly Valk or Path and a recon legend

Who should I main out of these 3: Octane, Mirage, Bloodhound
You did good narrowing it down to three legends who you are confident playing with✅. Now to finding your MAIN LEGEND. It should be a legend who you know inside & out, a legend you enjoy playing the most, and a legend when in any situation, you can utilize that legend's kit to make advantage plays during gunfights
I want to main pathy but find I die so quickly when I am him I dk if it's just me taking too many 50/50 fights or I just need more time again to get better , took alot of time off maybe few seasons so it's hard to come back especially when I've been playing 3rd person shooters lol
I'd love to be a Wattson main but I've never been able to stick with her just bc I tend to fall behind my more aggressive teammates.
That being said I LOVE Maggie but can't seem to stick with her either.
Lifeline and Wraith stat wise have always had my most with Wattson coming in third.
As a Wattson main, I have the same issue and have been learning how to play aggressive Wattson so I could keep up with my team. I’m not perfect at the aggressive playstyle with her, but I’ve become a lot more flexible :D
I need help who do I main loba or wraith I have more kills on wriath and kunai but I enjoy loba more
If you enjoy Loba more, play loba for now. Loba is literally S-Tier in ranked. Wraith can also be high ranked. If you actually enjoy what you are doing, you will play better. If you find even though you like her, you make more mistakes. Notice those mistakes and choose from there. :)
@@DazsI prefer loba definitely I just love wraiths lore but I love lobas vertical movement the problem I have is I have 4k kills on wraith and 1k on loba and wraiths kunai so I feel I have wasted my time. @@avizonyt Either one can work, depends how you use utility for the team. Loba can be a great carry to ensure peeps get loot so they don't keep looting and actually move. I would try one week, then switch. See where mistakes are happening depending what randoms you get.

The main problem I have as lifeline....i solo and nobody ROTATES! so i have to force the rotate making me the first person walking into a squad and we die 😭 what do i do? what do i fix?
p.s i know my aim has improved but i am still working on it. i'm also working on movement but i can't figure out if it's positioning? or me being a lifeline 😭
@@lynseyhoward8277 positioning most likely. If your not a goat you honestly shouldn’t play lifeline not the best support character and not the easiest character to main. It’s easier to learn how to frag with a character with an escape queue. Once you master that then I think it makes sense to move to a support character as you have a better understanding of positioning. With the skill gap if your lifeline and get caught in a bad spot you die so it’s harder to get better if your dying on rotations constantly

Definitely underrated and utilized, very hard legend to master. Hard for me to recommend them unless I see strong technical skills keeping up, good loot pattern, strong rotational knowledge, and very strong map awareness.
