CDL Permit: Obtaining a CDL Permit

You take the written test at your local motor vehicle office.
You need a score of 80% or better to pass.
Everyone takes the General Knowledge Test (about 50 questions). You should also take the Air Brake test.
Take the Combination Vehicle test if you want a Class A CDL Permit. Take the Passenger test if you want to drive a bus.
