      Rita 👨🏻‍🏫 Hello, Rita. Mr Teacher here in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. I have an answer to your question. We use ‘wait’ to mean pause for some time until something happens. An example sentence is this: ‘Wait for me at the supermarket.’ Your other word ‘await’ or ‘awaits’ refers to an expectation of something to happen in the near future. An example sentence is this: ‘The doctor awaits the result of the X Ray before deciding which treatment to prescribe.’ I hope this is helpful for you.

    Profesor se dice que las elecciones en America seran o se desarrollaran o se mantendran en noviembre 2020 ...se refiere a la eleccion como tal pero no al sujeto que va a ir a votar...por ello me sorprende que se use HELD que es el pasado....mi pregunta es porque "Hold" con "Will"... Gracias por su rpta.
