So it can’t have been the logo in the 2000s when this short film was made. So your head cinema may play funny movies but they are fiction with lots of creative freedom, indeed.
As a forklift operator with almost 30 years experience, I have seen many videos about forklift safety. Every year, we take refresher courses. This one is, by far, the funniest one I have ever seen.
The detail of the narrator being known in Germany for narrating actual instructional and safety videos is such a great one. It's kinda like if Robert Lee lent his voice to narrating a Mythbusters parody.
What makes this even more funny: the voice-over is provided by the late Egon Hoegen, who was a very well-known german voice actor. Hoegen lend his voice to many tv and movie dubs and also used to do the voice over for "Der 7te Sinn" ("the 7th Sense") , a very famous educational tv program for traffic safety from the late 70´s/ 80´s/early 90´s. They use to air this on german public tv stations, in order to teach traffic safety. Hearing his distinctive voice here is funny af, if you grew up during that era. RIP Egon Hoegen.
didn't grow up listening to German PSA's but I can tell by his voice that it was the perfect casting for the role of narrator. Thanks for sharing that bit of trivia!

I mean, a lot of the shown dangers at the end are ridiculous, the box knife ain't cutting through skull, the thin piece of metal isn't going to cut someone in half at forklift speed, etc etc etc. However, it give practical advice before it starts being ridiculous and that makes people pay attention to the things that are important. Job well done, educational video. WAY better than the "sign this saying Kroger taught you to use a forklift. Here's a packet to read by tomorrow. Okay, redacted will train you. Get to work" that i got.
Same for my theoretical part of getting the certification for the forklift. I was taking notes as well while trying not to crack up but I did it. Now I have to do the practical part this Saturday. Hope it all goes well. At least better than in Klaus' case.
Same here, along side another video from the 70s that had a gas powered forklift that exploded after falling out the back of a truck. I just wish there was an equivalent video for overhead cranes.

I must have watched this a dozen times over the years since I first was alerted to it (by a supervisor!) and still laugh each time. It's an excellent example of how an industrial film can be both informative and entertaining.

When this film was released on Blu-Ray Disc I bought a copy immediately. There's no director's cut on it but the behind the scenes footage and documentaries are a lot longer that Staplerfahrer Klaus itself. BTW, the narrator is Egon Hoegen who voiced the traffic safety short film series "Der siebte Sinn" from 1966 until 2005.
I like how Klaus starts off with some conscientiousness, but he proves to not be immune to the pre-established workplace culture of cutting corners. Corners, limbs; same thing, really.

Der Klassiker schlecht hin, für die jährlich stattfindende Arbeitssicherheitsunterweisung oder für die betriebliche Unfallverhütung. Lustig und sehr überzeugend darstellt, was im Betrieb alles passieren kann. Dabei ist dieses Thema verdammt ernst gemeint. Sehr gutes Beispiel. Danke für den upload.

@@Witte88 Es tauch zwar Frankreich bei google mal auf, der Film wurde laut Wikipedia aber in Deutschland Produziert und zwar in der Nordheide. Wenn man die Namen im Nachspann liest, fällt auf, dass es fast nur deutsche Namen sind.

I must have watched this a dozen times over the years since I first was alerted to it (by a supervisor!) and still laugh each time. It's an excellent example of how an industrial film can be both informative and entertaining.
Ich habe immer gedacht es wäre eine Ausnahme gewesen dass uns das vor fast einem Vierteljahrhundert in der Ausbildung gezeigt wurde. Wenn ich die Kommentare hier so lese war es wohl eher Standard. Finde ich gut.

When this film was released on Blu-Ray Disc I bought a copy immediately. There's no director's cut on it but the behind the scenes footage and documentaries are a lot longer that Staplerfahrer Klaus itself. BTW, the narrator is Egon Hoegen who voiced the traffic safety short film series "Der siebte Sinn" from 1966 until 2005.

Der Klassiker schlecht hin, für die jährlich stattfindende Arbeitssicherheitsunterweisung oder für die betriebliche Unfallverhütung. Lustig und sehr überzeugend darstellt, was im Betrieb alles passieren kann. Dabei ist dieses Thema verdammt ernst gemeint. Sehr gutes Beispiel. Danke für den upload.

Das Video/der Film ist schon sooo alt, aber jedesmal ein Schmaus für die Seele. Eigentlich sollte man ja gar nicht darüber lachen, weil es halt zeigt wie es nicht gemacht werden soll. Aber mein Gott, das geht voll nach hinten los und am Ende sitzt wieder jeder in Tränen vor dem Bildschirm. Verdammt!
