- Hey give the man credit where credit is due, the Hulkster could cut amazing promos too and to tell you the truth I'm sick of people bashing on him, he was the biggest star for a reason and as far as his wrestling ability goes-- looked fine to me for the biggest guy on the roster so everybody fuck off.

I think a lot of people forget or simply take for granted how monstrous Hogan was on the mic. He's unbelievably talented. Just try and cut a promo on one of your friends in that Hogan growl and it's damn near impossible.

Say what you will about him now, but Hogan was untouchable in this era. Insane muscles, intense promos, and a larger than life character. He was incredible in his prime.

People forget, i hate when wrestlers stick around too long. But hulk in his prime was something special. and all these so called stories of hulk & Ultimate warrior getting their asses kicked back stage I don't believe it!

I never liked Hogan, but I admit in the 80's he was one of the best interviews in the business. the " art " of cutting a promo making short & sweet to sell a match like this is forever lost are forever lost. now it takes over 20 mins of airtime to get a storyline over.
Warrior too. All the smarks make fun of warrior’s promos and yes if you overly scrutinise they are nonsensical gibberish but it didn’t matter because the delivery made you believe he was an intergalactic alien sent by the Gods from another realm or dimension.

This promo from Hulk reminds me of Randy Savage's promo from Wrestlemania V when he didn't blink either and was pumped hardcore full of steroids and cocaine
I had a dream where Hulkster cut a promo saying, "Which one of you has been to art class, and which one of you, had to reach step four, till it got easier, brother?"
Another example that coke in the 80s was a completely different class of narcotic.

I miss these backroom/lockeroom interview/promos as they can be rehearsed just like an upcoming match! It would make character development much better than having to go live like it’s current set up.
