She was sick for this performance. She did a vlog right before this talking about how she was not feeling well and had to take steroids to help her get through this performance. But in true Mori form she is sitting there legs crossed and belting out this song. She nailed it. She is a true professional. You can try the Live Band performance of this same song on her channel. It’s another amazing performance.
EXACT same reaction when I saw this video the first time. She deserves the biggest arena in the world. This is a Grammy worthy talent.
This song was originally sung by Sheryn Regis and then the composer Jonathan Manalo passed the song to Morissette to make her own rendition for a theme song of a Philippines TV SERIES. Her rendition got awarded many times!🔥 This song is not about her broken relationship with her father. But speaking of that, her written/co-written song called "Love You Still🌊" is the one that is a message to her father. She recently released a new version of that which is called the "Sunset version🌅", but even the other versions are worth-to-watch as well! Hope you check this out!

This performance very nearly never happened due to her not being in the best of health, but Morissette being Morissette the show must go on, the raspyness in her voice just added to the performance, her new version of LOVE YOU STILL is an absolute belter, the arrangement is magnificent, this is the song that she wrote to try and reach out to her father who washed his hands of her because of her relationship with her now husband DAVE LAMAR who she married on the 28th of June 2021 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.

Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw (which means I already want to let go) is from a TV/streaming show in the Philippines called The Broken Marriage Vow. The song is definitely not about the relationship between Morissette and her father, because Mori is not ready to let that go. The very first song that Mori co-wrote and co-produced not too long ago (you should put it on your list to react to) is about her relationship with her father and is called "I Still Love You". We Mowienatics continue to pray for Mori and her relationship with her family.
It's "Love You Still🌊" not "I Still Love You". And speaking of that song, her new released version of that called the Sunset version🌅 is a worth-to-watch!

I enjoyed watching you get floored and mind-blown by this performance! 😅 It reminds me of my own reactions, especially on the first time I watched this video. I was shookt! I couldn't believe what I was witnessing, I got chills and goosies! Mori just let it all out! 🤯
I appreciate that you took the time to search for the lyrics and its translation, so that you understood every line and the meaning of the song as you go along listening to Mori. This song is really a difficult one to sing, it demands a lot from the singer, in terms of vocal range and breath control. That part from the second chorus leading to the bridge and the key change up to the end is a continuous belting and a real challenge, but Mori slayed and nailed it! while sitting down.. cross-legged... in a bus. The way she delivered it is outstanding, full of intensity, power, passion, and conviction! No one does it better than Mori! I wish she would do an english version so that people who don't understand Tagalog can appreciate how deeply emotional this song really is. Even though the translations are good, it still cannot do justice to the meaning of the words in Tagalog.

To add context this song is the soundtrack for the tv series "The Broken Marriage Vow". This song was originally sang and written by Sheryn Regis about her failed relationship. I went on the Mori wagon when I heard her sing Rise Up on the WishBus. It was a phenomenal rendition but as with this performance, she wasn't at her best. Both times she was sick and for this performance she had to take steroids because the show must go on. And still, she delivered big time.
This song is very, very difficult that I often wish Mori wouldn't sing this live anymore.
So happy you have the CCs on. This is such a powerful song about whether this person should stay with this relationship and be miserable or let go and be happy. She is covering this song but I feel her rendition is more empowering. To strik out on her own and be happy. Also, she wasn't 100% during this performance and this was her last gig of he day and she saaaaaang it. As you say, "she ate it" you truly are a Mori fan which i think it's safe to say that you're now a Mowienatic! You notice the nuances that she does which is awesome. You're the first person to put that estranged relationship with her Dad with this song. I never thought to put that two together. That being said, she does have a song called "Love You Still" about that estranged relationship.
