I use two wizards and the rest Pekkas to tank for them. Builder bases tend to always be in clusters so the wizards ability to do the chain lightning quickly reduces hit points to where the pekkas can one hit everything. Really useful for the crushers and the mega Tesla.
hogs cannot raise you any higher... you need to take this type of attacks to raise to 5k... btw, im emerald II or 5.2k player... im using pekka/cannon... but i learned here how to use the giant whom i forgot to raise the level to 20... he is still lvl 18...
ngl i just do all PEKKA with the battle machine. I drop everything, then close game and reopen. I get 2-3 stars every time in under 15 seconds, and I can repeat this until I get my star bonus then I'm done for the day. I never drop in trophies, just chill at 4300

Why would you use a giant to tank instead of an additional Pekka? Same housing space but Pekas have more hp
No, giants have more health than pekka but do less damage. They also have the invulnerable ability so they're much better for tanking
