Recently a iconic long loving fallout 2 player has died from suicide and in his honor I place this comment. Rest in peace fallout entertainment industries... may you rest in the game and community you loved but also were loved in. May the echoes of dream town carry out your echoes of love for the game to the very people who listen.
Edit: it's been a year since Aaron passed and i have been rewatching some of his stuff and getting very frustrated that it's almost like no one in the fallout community even noticed that he passed. he puts so much time into trying to teach others how to master fallout 2 yet no one can give him even a second of time to share it. if you don't know who Aaron was, he was a veteran who served are country who came home to only be disowned and sexually assaulted !!!! the evil that has happened to this man put me in shell shock and he is just washed away like a burned memory is just so sickening.please if you have time to hear a veterans last words, then listen → ruclips.net/video/MY3UBz4_7mg/видео.html. we need more awareness for a veterans. for god's sake i feel like we live in such a dystopian world.

You know, about 20 years ago I was in a sanatorium, and there were those - how do I put it? - "relaxation sessions" where you'd lay down, light's would go dim and some calm music start playing. And only after listening to this version I realized it would go very well for that. I mean, the original would acomplish that just as well, but this one hits the spot 110%. Would've been funny if it actually played back then, considering at that time Fallout 2 was somewhat a "fresh" game.

I actually wonder that if somehow, some monk back in the late 1990's did play fallout 2 and actually used dream town for meditation or something, it's very unlikely because well... monks live up in those high mountains but similar to joshua graham showing tribes in zion of the techs of new vegas. maybe there was someone who showed them or at least they heard it. Because i can really see what you are saying with how peaceful the music sounds.

I want to share my thoughts with the author of this remix.
Thank you so much for creating such an amazing slowdown for this melody from an old game. I listen to this soundtrack to get inspiration.
Under these tones, recessions and sunrises, I create an atomic epoch of civilization in a book that I am writing myself.
I am designing a nuclear aircraft capable of crossing the borders of several worlds.
I'm developing automotive technology that won't mind huge distances.
I am designing all-terrain vehicles that will plow the unexplored territories of cold lands and distant wastelands.
I am creating locomotives driven by the power of the atom, which will transport the passengers of my civilization tens of thousands of kilometers from their home.
My seas are ploughed by nuclear ships that don't care about ice and storm.
It would seem that why make excuses in the book and suffer with the elaboration of the technical details of such machines?
Here lies a philosophy that arose a long time ago, but has received its final form only now. This is the philosophy of my people in the book. The idea of adapting the world, not adapting to it. And the atom in this idea is the key to independence.
While other countries are fighting among themselves for oil fields, my people use uranium and thorium, grams of which give as much energy as many, many barrels of dirty oil.
In my world, my people have overcome their dependence on oil and are using the power of the atom to achieve colossal and ambitious goals
Thank you very much for the wonderful melody that inspired me to draw, design, think and create.
The comment was translated in Yandex Translator, from Russian into English. I ask you not to pay attention to strange mistakes.

Man, ngl I begin playing with NV and I DEVOURED that game, then played 3 and had a blast for how darker it was and the urban wasteland. I apreciated 4 but besides the improved graphics meh, is a good base for modding.
But these + Tactics (yes I liked that too)... man, I can believe people who says that Fallout 1, 2, Tactics and NV exists in another timeline

Yes fallout 1 and 2 and fnv are too good to exist in the timeline of fallout 3 or 4. I say the world was rebuild by Mr house and then Todd Howard nuked the whole world again for fallout 4 to be real.

@@STOTW.SoundTracks0fTheWastes Nah, 4 is too bright and colorful, I think that is just some Institute Simulator Shawn built to *immagine* his parents and the world they now are in.

@@STOTW.SoundTracks0fTheWastes Yeah man, look up Knight Ravens Memorial for Matthew Perry. It's a yt short, it uses this song. EDIT: Look up this exact terminology "R.I.P Matthew Perry, voice of Benny FNV."

@@brenton-_-9588 that's actually pretty odd, for a sec i thought you were about to say the short i just made a bit ago with dream town in it. dream town slowed though, really did fit well with the video he made for Matthew Perry.

I do night-time volunteer work at a local pet-shelter. I am in charge of the Female Puppy enclosure. I like to play this track on loop over the Bluetooth speaker at night. They seem to be soothed by it. The Baby Females are currently napping peacefully in their containment pen.
