Several people were asking to have the Flightscope MEVO+ hooked up to an Apple iPad showing e6 Golf. I did my best to play a few holes showing an example of driving, irons, chipping, and putting.
What data parameters does Mevo+ provide?
Mevo+ provides Carry Distance, Club Head Speed, Smash Factor, Apex Height, Flight Time, Ball Speed, Vertical Launch Angle, Horizontal Launch Angle, Lateral Landing, Angle of Attack, Total Distance, Roll Distance, Spin Axis, Spin Rate, Spin Loft, and Shot Shape.
Do I need metallic stickers on the golf ball indoors and outdoors when using Mevo+?
Metallic stickers are recommended to accurately measure spin indoors as ball flight is limited, but stickers are not needed during outdoor use.
What simulation software is Mevo+ integrated with?
Mevo+ is integrated with TruGolf (E6 Connect) and comes with ownership of 5 golf courses (Aviara, Stone Canyon, Wade Hampton, Sanctuary, Belfry), 17 ranges, and a mini game powered by E6. This bundle that comes with the purchsed of Mevo+ is for iOS only. Customers have the option to purchase additional E6 simulation packages if they want more courses. Mevo+ is also integrated with The Golf Club and Creative Golf 3D which are both PC only.
Mevo+ can be used indoors and outdoors.
Space Requirements:
Indoor and Outdoor: 7-9 feet sensor to tee distance
Short Indoor: 8 Feet Sensor to tee and min 8 feet ball flight

How do you connect mevo plus to your projector?
What about aiming? Playing actual course we would not hit at flag every time. It seems to point you automatically at the flag... what if I want to aim a little right and and draw it? Do you aim by moving something on the ipad?

How does someone play Online (or even in their profile) through E6 if the IPad Wi-Fi needs to be connected to the Flightscope to read ball data? I can only play E6 offline as a guest with this setup (iPad, E6, Mevo+) currently. Am I missing something? Would an Ethernet connection and Wi-Fi work simultaneously to solve my issue?

It's in 4:3 because an ipad display is 4:3.. Whenever you're mirroring the image from one display to another, it will take the aspect ratio of the home display.
First tip - there will be cropping settings on your project (or display) to allow you to tune any aspect ratio to "fit width", "fit height" or "fit all". This will allow you to do exactly what it means. Worst case scenario, you should only have black borders on one plane (horizontal or vertical).
Second tip - 4:3 is not an older standard. It's a logical standard as you get more area for space used. The only reason things went 16:9 was for cinematics and the "cinema room" craze from the mid 2000's.
Where did you buy the dongle?
The Apple store. Just go online.
Jay, do you know of any way to get play Online Mode while connected to e6 and the Mevo Plus and iPad? For range play and for course play, it's nice to be able to have the stats logged and be able to review, but I don't think you can do that playing offline mode as a guest, right?

Instead of using an iPad could you use Apple TV if you don’t have a projector?
Yes. I know people that either run an HDMI dongle to a TV or yes you can use Apple TV as well
Thank you for the work on posting the videos. I used a regular mevo for a couple of weeks and had a blast with it and found out that the plus was debuting at the PGA show and was hoping for a positive results. After watch yours and other videos I pulled the trigger today and order one. Hope it does not take 3 weeks to get it. Thanks again

Dan C I would think for sure paid add on no reason they would give it way for free. The original deal was via iPad for the 5 courses etc. But the app has much lower resolution. PC is way better. iPad still plays the same though.
Jay, quick question regarding your Ipad. You're using the Ipad Air in this video. What size flash memory does yours have? I have ordered the Mevo+ and hope that it will be here by end of May, but not holding my breath. Just trying to get everything ready to when it does get here. Love watching your video's and this one for sure helped me better understand how the Mevo+ looks using the Ipad vs. the computer. Great work and love the channel, keep it coming.

Jay I tried to screen mirror my iPad to my projector today, but when I connected the mevo plus to the iPad it took my iPad off my home wifi and connected it to the mevo rendering the mirroring unavailable. I was able to mirror e6 but the mevo plus wasn’t connecting. Any ideas?
Honestly I've never used mirroring for the iPad I just use the hdmi dongle? Are you trying to airplay mirror? That uses local network so won't work if not on it.
Shots all look very straight. No offense- but does the meevo not track side spin well? Or maybe I’m just not seeing it right
This is in the very beginning. Check out some of the most recent mevo+ videos and I work on shot shaping etc.
Can you offset the tee left or right from center using the e6 connect that comes with mevo+? I'm not looking too invest in PC version just yet but my tee position it's three feet right of center. TIA
Jay do you ever have disconnection problems with your Mevo+ ? I was reading on the forums and it’s a common annoying problem I hope they are working on fixing it.
No not at all. Be sure no other devices are trying to connect. The only time I have heard of this is when people have connected multiple devices and they they are both trying to connect. The Mevo+ can only have 1 device connected at a time.

So does the mevo + plus come with e6 or is that a seperate product. Also, I don't have any ios device. Does it work with pc?
It comes with e6 for iOS. You can download the PC version for a demo. It has one course and practice areas. Not sure if it expires or not, some people have had it for weeks now. Then you can easily upgrade to basic for online play and like 27 courses for $300/year

I have a 1280x800 projector w HDMI Lightning Bolt adapter - I am trying to pick an Ipad to run e6 free version that comes with Mevo+. Have read of aspect ratio and output issues to screen.
Will Mevo+ running free e6 on a new iPad Pro produce 720p 16 x 9 aspect ratio video or will it play out 4x3 with letterbox and not fill the screen?
I just purchase mevo+ through your link and will be using ipad through appletv wirelessly, it does not appear that there is much visual difference between air and pro models? Also do you recommend upgrading the storage or is 128 or 256 sufficient? Thank for providing a wealth of valuable information on your videos
This is very helpful. However, how do I do the initial setup so that my “license” from the Mevo+ is recognized and processed by E6? I don’t see how to do that…Mine doesn’t find my Mevo+ even though I’ve connected it via the WiFi…

Hi, great video. Question. Do you have to manully select club before every shot like in the FS app in the Mevo device when on simulation on E6?
Jonas Andersson No it auto selects. Sometimes it could be off saying 5 wood for 200 yards but I have purposely not switched to see and it read it perfect. I also messed around in the FS app. Didn’t seem to bother it much. Basically it would like to have wedge, iron, or wood selected so it can close the reading ranging of speed and be more precise. It will read anything from my experience.

Also should mention I’m hitting into a net but have the iPad hooked to a nice gaming monitor. I want less black lines on each side. Not sure if a new iPad Pro would help me accomplish this or not?

Can you use an AppleTV and screen mirror to a television or projector? No HDMI cable needed...
You should be able to as long as it let’s you mirror that program. I’ve have not verified this. Thanks for watching
Golf Simulator Videos I gave it a try using the demo software and it worked. The one thing lacking was the sound.

Some have already shipped as there were a few units left from the PGA Show. Others are expected to ship as they stated originally, 3 weeks or so.

Stephen Crockford Graphics are the same on all iOS. I found the iPad Pro to be the best though as far as smooth movement with no frame loss. Thanks for watching

Yes you just use a iPad HDMI dongle but just understand it’s only capable of 4:3 format
If you go on Amazon there are dongles which can do 1080.

Can you buy individual courses on E6?
Yes but I think it is a lot more than considering the subscription that includes either 27 plus a rotating course and online play etc. or all courses and online play which is like 99+ courses now.

No same graphics for all iOS devices just older devices could have some frame loss. Thanks for watching
E6 has said they are working to improve the iOS graphics engine.
Oké that would be great! One question more.. 😅 if you have iPad with WiFi and cellular could you then play online??

Just remember you need an E6 subscription for online P2P play.
Hypothetical question that I have not been able to find the answer to-
A good number of us do not have an Ipad, iPhone, or, Apple product that can run the free courses in the E6 software that comes with our Mevo+. There are emulators that can simulate IOS- Do you think that is a feasible option for us Windows and Android users?
Figured I would ask you since you seem to be leading the charge for Mevo options and workarounds.
