My issue is with your assessment of how you think mormons are changing to be less offended and integrating with the bigger culture. I dont think progressives have that much i fluence over the church. You may ein some battles, but church is winning the war against outside influence.
Hmmm, no. Watch church historian Ben Spackman (I think), he talks directly about this. Also, Pres Holland comes right out and says that's how the church works and after saying it said, on camera, "I've said too much". Watch Dan McClean clip on the argument against Golliath. Same concept.
