I was able to get the blue spark after I cleaned all the grounds and used a thicker gauge wire from one of your previous videos. and for the headlights, I went with the ARB headlight wiring harness loom kit and IPF H4 glass housings. You could replace the bulbs with any H4 halogen or LED. It's a bit overkill but has never failed. Halogen bulbs are great for the winter cause they will melt the snow and not accumulate when driving.
Eventually I will run out of Samurai tips and have to do trackicks. The body is a ground. Is there a large size 10 wire from negative if battery to body? It’s amazing how cleaning grounds fixes intermittent electrical issues. When it comes to Suzuki wiring harness, they are consistent from the factory. Same colors and functions of wires they most of the models. A common problem is how corroded are the crimps and bullet disconnects. Sometimes a little effort of removing and reattaching grounds make a big difference.
Have any spare noise filters? I think someone may have chopped mine out. Also, do you have any opinions on msd ignition components: blaster coil, msd box etc?
What do you have the best luck with for the overflow tank? 1.3 Samurai and it was pretty loose, I did some zip ties to hold it on but it has now cracked vertically inside the mounting channels for the top 2/3 of the length. Are you using OEM for $60 or cheaper plastic ones? would a new mount hold it better? Do you sell any good ones? Thanks!
This is a real problem in the Suzuki community due to the India crap flooding our market. The best is to convert to sidekick tracker to have a better reservoir overflow. Real Suzuki samurai overflow tanks are gone forever. AISIN is discontinuing real Suzuki parts daily.
Great video and very good info thanks Myron! I have a diesel swapped 84 SJ410 and have tried to install LED headlights i heard you mention something about that in the video what do i need to do to make them work on the Suzuki?
Regarding Weber Carbs: I have one that came with my Samurai. I experienced the flooding problem on an uphill climb. I put JB weld on the bowl vent and then relocated the vent through a hose. After that I have not had any complaints, but have never ran a different carb on it to compare. Are there other advantages to the Harley carb?
Look at your spark plugs. Smell your oil for gas. Weber doesn’t have 4 cylinder jets. They have 6 and 8 cyl and just make an adapter for every intake manifold they could think of.
Ground from factory in samurai is nonexistent besides metal to metal contact on frame. Yet the sending unit uses ground for resistance to flow thru the variable resistor. Seeing has you have the tank hanging, spending $ on a sending unit is up to you. To put a ground in you remove one screw. To replace the sender you have to remover the cover. Seeing as you are paying yourself to fix this issue it’s the same as free parts and extra money for ammo.
Great info and demonstration !!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great Video! We want to see you offFrood'n one of your sami's !!! cheers!
Coming soon!
This is so great. Thank you MY!
You are so welcome!
thanks keepem uploading great stuff
Thanks, will do!
Great video. Thanks.
You are welcome!
THANK YOU :) Excited to get the ground issues dealt with :)

Good job!
I always learn something new thanks Myron
Let’s see some side kicks info!!!
I have some good videos on 16v and 8 v engines. Also bumpers.
good stuff!
Glad you liked it!
Great video. Plan on making any for us Sidekick guys? Right now I’m battling a intermittent blinker operation problem and power mirrors inoperable.

Awesome vids ! Gotta few sami s floating around. Any info about toyota fj40 axle s? / full hydro steering. Lol
No fj axles just Toyota or our hybrids. Big axles are for hard wheeling 35” - 40” and bigger
Yes Sir. I dig it.
Much appreciated

I do and I don’t use anything but factory coils and ignition systems
@@Zuksoffroad ill double check mine today. If its awol as I suspect, how can I make a purchase? I dont think ive seen it on the website.
Great info
Glad it was helpful!
Is the one light dimmer the same case as the 1990 Sidekick?
All the Suzuki dimmers control the resistance to ground .

Go to acksfaq.com and order there LED clicky start circuit board. It reverses polarity jeeps are possible feed Samurai are negative feed circuits
Thank you very much
Hey MY, if you needed to replace the noise filter are there any options out there that'll work or just SOL?
Used noise filters. Someone smarter than me could cut one open and reverse engineer it but I have never seen a bad one .
Thanks MY!! Now you have me wanting to open one up and see if I could figure it out but not going to sacrifice the only one I have that’s on my rig =P

I fill my tank guage reads full when its halfway down reads empty 88 sami bad ground or sending unit?
