Playing this on my iPhone 5s with MAME4iOS :) The initial CPS3 boot-up took 23 minutes, but now the ROM boots up straight away, and it runs like a dream.
Wow brings back memories in the arcades. This was there for a short short while in Circus Circus singapore on those huge ass machines. Nonsensically difficult and nigh impossible to complete with one token. Tokens.... hahaha they don't use em no more.
The oddest fighting versus game I've ever seen... It looks like "beat'em up versus"... Although I have the complete MAME set, I never played it. Anyway is a very original game. Thanks for the playthrough.
I think I know the reason why this game didn't get ported to the states?? It looks difficult and the A.I has an insane amount of LIFE. Each fight is pretty much a BOSS FIGHT. That probably would've drove gamers crazy......LOL
that ninja seems really out of place with the other characters. They should just make him look like a desert arab type, that'd at least fit in somewhat
CPS3 stands for Capcom Play System 3: Capcom's arcade hardware in the latter half of the 1990's. This game is completely arcade exclusive, and has never been ported or rereleased since.

i remember some of this characters on Capcom Fighting Jam (PS2)
So many of Capcom's games never got a real home release. This, Battle Circuit, and Cyberbots' prequel needed one.
Well, 2 of those games got rereleased as part of Capcom Beat'em up bundle, so there's that.

Kongou's theme kind of sounds like bishamon's theme from darkstalkers... any else notice that?
i think it sounds similar to Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness, not sure it is the same composer or not...
What emulator did you use to play this? I never found one that could play it.

Where did you downloaded the rom and emulator? I really don't know how to emulate it. My Kawaks don't recognize the rom.

If you have the complete MAME set, then try Metamoqester (Oni: The Ninja Master in JP). Same game style, and actually predates this game by a year.

This has a really strong resemblance to Red Earth. Are they connected in any kind of way?
Warzard is the Japanese version of Red Earth.
