Great tip! I had using a normal stance and ball position for a 7 iron and ripping quick draws and hooks making me feel like Im having difficulties hitting a mid iron not realizing how thick the rough Im playing through has affected my shot shape. whatever ailments I experience on the links, you definately come out with the appropriate teaching vid at the right time! Thank you, Chris!
Thanks for this - I tried this yesterday and it worked a treat - definitely aim slightly right and steepen the downswing and voila !! Saved me a few of the usual topped shots Chris - THANKS 👍
Great video as always Chris. Do you suggest using this same approach on even longer/thicker rough. My local course has a lot of long and thick rough similar to Scottish links courses and I often find myself in them........on the basis that I find my ball in the first place....would this advice still apply....or would you suggest playing it safer and chipping out onto fairway first?
Hi Rayan Very helpful video. A lot of professional golfer advocates different techniques to get out of rough. But I have tried the technique explained in the video and found it very effective. Good job!

Great tip. Would like to see more different shots such around or under trees .
Very helpful as usual. Many thanks. Do you have any advice on regulating distance from greenside bunkers?
Very clear explanation. Thanks and well done Chris.

Solid advice. Thank you.
Can you give some tips for playing wedges (chips/pitches) off of a wet/saturated lie. Like when conditions are lift clean and place.
you mentioned the club sticking in the ground .....thats my fear when i move the ball back.......do i try to turn more through the shot ?
Would have more weight on your front side help as well ?
I’m a ruff Ryder like DMX and hard as well
Could you use some type of hybrid club in that kind of lie?
Do you also suggest choking down on the handle an inch or so?
Hi Chuck, this would certainly help steepen the approach so yes definitely something that would help
Is this the same with a muddy condition?
This must be tested, thank you !
