I would split this genre in two: meme hardbass and regular hardbass. Pretty much all artists have both, but the meme category often gets disproportionate views compared to the hidden gems that are more respectable and arguably better to listen to rather than laugh at. Uamee's Bass Boi can blow my car stereo just as fine as XS Hardstyle melody. Usually they drop lyrics in non-meme hardbass as well, as I have seen in DJ Blyatman entire Hardkvass album.

But at the time I wrote the comment, if i remember correctly, i was listening to uamee-plague doctor and that is overall a quiet track.
And now ,we have welcome to by neighbourhood and that is making my speakers sweat
Also I am happy to see someone else than me is taking hardbass seriously XD
