@@jakeconer Although it was released first for the Amiga, the original version is the Sega Genesis, but yes Amiga games runs better on the Genesis because they share the same main processor (Motorola 68k) among other things.
Can be. I remember playing this and getting lost or really stuck on some parts. Its kind of like the early Resident Evil games where once you know the route you can shoot right through them.
I was very young (maybe 8 or 9) when I borrowed this game, and I just couldn't figure it out! I loved the look and feel of it, and really wanted to get into it, but it was just too difficult. I'd completely forgotten about it until now!

i just watched the amiga longplay, seems the hero forgot to edit parameters before running the experiment in the megadrive version. i also have the feeling the music is too high pitched. Did they try to add more colors to the game ? Most backgrounds are not as dark as in amiga, and some sprites have new colors. There's a sequence around 19:30 that i didn't see in the amiga longplay.
Esse jogo e Flashback são meus prediletos, adoro esse estilo de jogo. Prefiro as versões do Mega Drive.

Not counting the difficulty, the only con the Genesis always has is the music that sounds inferior to the Amiga original, though the composer of this port, Tommy Tallarico, composed Aladdin as well. The Windows 3.1 version, while better than the Genesis version, can also leave something to be desired, although for Maddox Games it's a lumpy first attempt showing the talent.
It's still definitely the better port. The Sega CD port is even better, it's like the best of both worlds (haha pun intended) plus it contains the sequel!
I wonder why this game was not included in the genesis mini collection instead of emeritus crap like Kid Chameleon, Space Harrier II, Toejam and Earl or Ghouls 'n Ghosts. It is considered a classic in its genre, it was also the first title to insert CG sequences in a video game...

This game is hard and I mean HARD!
@Ryder Reece you did not yesterday! I saw you in other video, but forgot the name of it lol.
I have fond memories of myself, my brother, and our step-sister all trying to figure out this game.
Wow same here
This game and Flashback were so similar
i love every longplay for this game
Im very impressed the Sega Genesis could run this game so well.
It runs better then the SNES version which is pretty common for Amiga port

If someone who grew up with a super Nintendo fanboy by their side always believes that their competitor doesn't run at all xd
Man that dude can really hold is breath underwater
When I was 10 I thought these graphics were amazing! Haha
They still are. For the time they were made. I still have this game for genisis along with another 350. Plus snatcher for mega cd
@@joetrident9503 you have 350 cartridges?

Never realized before this game was so short less than 30 minutes that that would never happen today

it took only 30 minutes cuz the player knew all the secrets already but if you dont you will be stucked several time until you find out what to do.
When I played this I was a kid and got stuck guess it was hard for me. Even the very beginning of the game. I didn't realize it was short.
Fantastic !!!

Que jogo difícil, parece ser tão fácil assistindo esse vídeo. Muito bom para época. Merecia ser lançando para os novos vídeo game.
Mas foi hauhauhauah
Com o nome original "Another World".
@@Mari_Izu joguei em um PC 286 há 30 anos atrás. Jogo muito bem elaborado. Que saudade...
Its kinda weird, i was playing this version and at 7:20 there is an enemy here. He appears in the snes one too, but not the remake/amiga versions...

@Jacob Eubank Huh? Fuck the orange bastard.
The first Mega drive game Tommy Tallarico did the music for!
I never knew that! I always loved the sound design in this and music compared to all the other ports.
Nice avatar btw.

This game was hard as hell. If you die you start all over
There are checkpoints in the game so u dont start over completely.
I finished tons of games back in the day, BUT THIS IS INSANELY HARD, GOD LEVEL HARD.
It's so perfect
very happy to complete😀😀😀😀😀😀😀 now afraid to play because don't want my world to end
Wow, the frame rate vs the snes version, This smacks the Snes in the A$$!, wasn't going to expect this much difference, wow, fast.

17:28 - so low framerate.
You think that framerate was low? The entire SNES version is like that
As in flashback the mega drive version is the best.
21:52 dude wtf..
BEAST
run this game so well.
do you have on the channel this game why replays do?
It seems at the game has better fps than SNES version, but sfx and music are crap :-/

game OK but the book and box hard to het
omg why there lasers sounds like that man??
Why it has chakan sounds
Mycaruba
can't watch it all never beat it
I heard it nice
That title music is extremely unfit for the game
Is this a Genesis game, or an Atari game?
I used to try hard as a kid to beat this never did

Because those are true classics, and done by Sega, GnG reprogrammed by Sega for the Genesis. This one is a tad overrated.
I think all of them are classics
Look up panorama Cotton
