    Reality is that this team is decimated right now and Rudo could’ve basically cutoff his review after 9 seconds because when I looked at the projected lineups, my first thought playing a good team like Tampa was, “Oh boy, that’s not going to end well”. I think the primary goal of this team right now as they endure the injuries is to just not fall too far behind in the standings before guys start filtering back into the lineup. I also get the panic and gut shot reactions from fans but I’m far from panic mode just yet as it’s too early. If by mid-November they have Lehky, Val and Drouin all back and other guys can slot back to their normal lines, this is a really good hockey team and this current moment in time may quickly feel like a distant memory. With the glass still half full, that’s the hope for now 🙏

    Kylington is awful. Dude couldn't cover a dead body. We're going to be half way through the season before we have a realistic shot of having a healthy lineup. Hoping the Eagles don't play us out of playoff contention in the meantime.

      the fact that Kylington was playing forward.. lmao.
      to be honest this game wasnt nearly as ugly as I expected

    I have yet to see the value of Kylington. He's shaky with and without the puck and for some reason Bednar is giving him a ridiculous amount of latitude.
    That said, I think there was a lot to like about our game sans the crippling mistakes. Vs a lesser goalie, the scoreboard would have looked a lot different.

    11 games into the season and the avs are still rocking a preseason lineup. I know everyone is losing their shit right now but honestly, it is what it is. Buckle in and get comfy folks, we're going to be here for a while

    It takes time to learn how to play proper nhl hockey. This is a lot clearer this season with all the new guys. It will take 20-30 games for a good player to learn to be ok. A full season or two to be good. This is just the way it is.

    The avs must be the unluckiest team in the NHL when it comes to injuries. I read this morning that there is talk of trading Casey mittelstadt, I'm putting this down as false gossip. The avs searched so long for a legit #2 center and then finally trading a talented young d-man to get mitts there's just no way they would be that dumb to trade him. I feel like the constant distraction of landeskog and nichushkin has been an immense drain on the avs then couple that with all the injuries it's just a perfect storm of events that will destroy any team. Even if landeskog does come back he's never going to be the player he used to be, time to stop counting on him and nichushkin.... He's proven that he's not reliable and we need to move on from him ASAP!!!!! then we need to address the fact that our D-men, except for Manson, are on the small side and completely non physical... I'm sorry but Girard and dehaan need to go and bring in some big gritty D-men that will move opposing players out from in front of the net because tiny Girard and dehaan aren't going to get the job done and while I agree malinski(who is also small) has some offensive talent how badly do we need it when we have makar and perennial underrated toews. We have makar,MacKinnon and rantonen in their prime and should be serious cup contender but we are wasting their youth waiting on landy and nichushkin and hoping our undersized defensemen can do the job...... I'm a loyal avs fan since 1980 nordiques but the writing is on the wall.

      It's funny how teams with big defenceman are always talking about wanting more puck movers and here we have some of the best puck moving defenceman and you're saying you want more size. You acknowledge that the team is riddled with injuries yet you think trading out a guy like Girard so they can get bigger and slower will help them? I mean come on. We're all hoping things get better but changing up the defense at this point isn't going to do shit. You want to complain about Landeskog and Nichuskin and I get that, but what is the alternative? They aren't trading Landy and until he says he isn't playing anymore, they'll have a spot for their captain. Sure they could try and trade Val for pennies on the dollar and when he does come back they have to face the fact that they traded one of the best two way forwards in the league for way below value and you still have to add someone who's going to offer some value. What about guys like Drouin, lecky, Colton, and even wood being injured? This team had Ivan Ivan on the top pp unit while a defenseman played right wing, on the third line! How do you fix that with a bigger, slower defenseman? The reality is the team has been ravaged with injuries and moving anyone in or out isn't going to change that.

  • @fishermc6pack

    Remember when everyone including DNVR was crappin on Miko last season, rightfully so for piss poor effort, at times? Megan was mad and wondered if he had an injury. It felt like every player on the ice was slow and not trying after the first goal went in. I know the lineup was bad, but they were bad and didn’t put any effort in for 2 goals.
    It makes you wonder what’s going in behind the scenes. Are the players not happy with management? Because I’ve never seen these avs phone it in like that. They kicked back into gear, but what was that???!
    I actually asked myself while watching the 2nd and 3rd goal going in if the Avs even cared about the fans it was that bad. It was a home game, you owe the fans effort and that was disgusting. Idk talk all we want about the lineup, but that lineup might be so bad I’m confusing it for zero effort, idfk

      Just look at the lineups. its THAT bad.
      Tampa bay was playing a roster half filled with AHL players that wouldnt make the Avs 4th line, but are now playing in the top lines. its just awful rn

    I'm just soo confused why the only Goalie who has played well this season was a healthy scratch! Fourgiev still costing the team points from the bench! If it's not about money, then Annunen would have started, with Kahkonen backing up!!

    • @chemguy5468
      @chemguy5468 9 часов назад +1

      Probably because they don't want to wear out a goalie that has had less than 25 starts over the last 4 years. Probably because you have a new goalie that you want to get reps and you can't have two goalies sitting on the bench so you might as go with the guy you've invested in to sit and watch. Probably because they didn't to risk the one goalie that's been playing well, getting an injury by going in if their new goalie gets lit up. If this was a divisional matchup, then sure, go with your best goalie but it wasn't

      @@chemguy5468 Annunen is young, and was rested!
      Avs desperately need points, and they sat the only thing they had going for them.. Head scratcher IMO!!

    • @chemguy5468
      @chemguy5468 7 часов назад

      @dawkinakus8665 but they wanted to get kahkonen in a game. Their next three games are nashville, Seattle, and winnipeg, three much bigger games. This actually makes the most sense. You let Justus rest an extra game while Georgie has to sit on the bench and watch another goalie in what is supposed to be his crease. How can you motivate him more than that?

    • @41Nizmo
      @41Nizmo 7 часов назад

      goaltending wouldnt have done anything with defensive breakdowns like this. Kahkonen doesnt have the ability to teleport...

    • @KowashiHitori
      @KowashiHitori 5 часов назад

      @@dawkinakus8665 None of this had anything to do with Kahkonen. Annunen wouldn't have made a difference and you simply can't play him every game. We have to see what we have in Kahkonen which means he has to play games. Honestly this lineup is so brutal we probably should gear toward winning games like the next one against the preds and put Annunen in for that to give us a chance. I don't care if Roy was in net... playing an AHL team against a good NHL team is going to be rough.
