I'm a bit fanatical about the AM, have all of their albums and eps, either in the flesh or recreated through downloads. They really should make a 'B-sides and Rarities' track, with their covers and acoustic remakes- they certainly have enough material They've covered: Amy Winehouse, Barbara Lewis, Bob Marley, Girls Aloud, Nick Cave and the Badleys, Rod McKuen (this track), The Strokes, off the top of my head.
i couldnt agree more , lennon is amazing , always will be known as the best ..but sometimes it seems like people are only saying he is without even listening to the beatles often , they just go with what they heard and stick with it which is why no one will ever be better than lennon- because we wont let them.
I like how many people love this song. There was a studio recording made of this by Jimmie Rodgers. It is on You Tube, and you will love his version and his talent.
I wish they'd do a studio version of this. I just went through a breakup and have been listening to this, and I love it. Have to admit, as funny as it is that Alex didn't want to keep singing through the sad part, I wish he wasn't laughing- it takes away from the depth of the song. Great music though, hate me all day, this kid's better than Lennon could have ever been. More real.
