One possible decoration for the inside of any tunnel, is that of the snow sheds, on Donner Summit, or likely at points in the Rockies. Granted, that appearance might be limited to the inside of a tunnel, given the rest of your table setting...you're not going to be able to copy the Sierra on the outside of your tunnel layout, but that tunnel type is something not usually thought of.🤷♂️
@@whitmorestrains , looking at your layout, it isn't a likely scene, I admit, but again, as a possible interior view shed say, for an interior tunnel stretch, it's an option. Good luck!
@@whitmorestrains Yes to decorating the inside of the tunnel! I remember it was about 1968/69 and the Montreal Metro system experimented with advertisements consisting of a series of paintings placed sequentially on the tunnel wall to create a brief animated effect as the train moved through. It was an ad for Export A cigarettes and I never saw it again. It would be very cool to see something like that in a video as the trains pass through.
Tunnel, YES but be sure you provide access to retrieve trains that for whatever reason have an accident. Nothing more frustrating than trying to reach your arm inside a tunnel to remove a derailed train. Good luck. Jim
Nice Railroad
Thank you very much!
A tunnel would make sense. Hiding the trains will give a sense of a much larger layout and longer trains. Great job! Thanks for sharing.
Yes, look great!

I do see those sheds used in snowy climates prone to avalanches. I will keep that in mind if I decide to build a snow scene. Thanks for the info!

RUclips put this layout in my video list tonight, fwiw: ruclips.net/video/hLGv99vrF-g/видео.html

I think its a great idea... go for it, Wes! Thanks. T4
Thanks T4!

Thanks Jim! Great advice that I have already found the need to solve. I have some plans when I start building that will give me access. Thanks!
