Astra Lost In Space is such an underrated hidden gem. Wish there were more anime like it. There's one similar to it called Braves of the Six flowers, which is worth watching if you like Astra.

A scene showing someone breaking a hand is one thing, we got plenty of those in action Anime, even Shounens, breaking a hand, foot, chopping off heads, splitting a body into two, blasting someone into ashes, it's all in a day's work in Anime; But now, imagine a scene, showing a slow approach to breaking the hand, while you can see the expression of pain, the screams, the tear, the blood, and the emotional reason behind the why the hand needs breaking, slowly, bit by bit, you can hear the bones cracking, blood spilling, but the hand hasn't broken yet, but it needs to break, so we hit it again, and again, and again, and again.... til it finally snaps, and the scream stopped. See the difference? that's a whole completely different ballgame, and that's what Made in Abyss did. And I think that's what he was trying to say.

Moribito is phenomenal and certainly needs more love!!!! From the new world was really good after like 7 episodes but man does it get dark and Golden Kamuy is also super good. Just looking out for those underappreciated ones. Claymore too.

I've watched 3/4 of that on the list, not to mention Dragon ball, naruto, boruto, aot, detective conan, dr.stone, opm, monogatari series, sw art, jojo's, etc. But one piece had such unexplainable charisma, the depth of the characters, amazing back stories, info's based on the real world, riveting ploy twists, mysteries. I mean I respect your preference but the only reason I think you don't like it is that you didn't pay enough attention, it has a world record for a reason man. The real life lessons, comics, joy and tears it will give you, damn I'm so lucky to live in oda's era, I'll always be a fan until the next pirate era. I really like Rising of the Shield Hero, it's one of my favorite. I wouldn't regard it as one of the "best" in anything though, it's a pretty mediocre even for an isekai, let alone putting it in a broader genre like Adventure.

I need help, I remember watching a few minutes of this one animated show or movie (can't remember Wich) years ago when I was 15. It wasn't anime, but it was animated. It started with this dude in a black helmet starting at the sky with distant battle sounds, and then a fireball flying overhead. Then he keeps looking, and another fireball flys over, from a catapult. He looks down and I see he's in a siege over some Castle. Eventually he gets through the walls, and there's this huge tall and fat armored dude with a gaint sword mocking everyone trying to get a challenger out of the invading army gathered around him. No one will, and a few people can be heard saying he once killed a bear on his own. There's a dude on a horse saying he will pay whoever kills the fat guy. The main character steps Forward and says he'll do it for 10 gold pieces, but the dude on the horse says 10 silver pieces instead. The black helmet guy says "cheap bastard" and kills the fat guy with a long black sword by cutting him in the side, and then a bloody overhead swing on the fat guys head, I remember his eye popped out. And that's all I remember, I may have gotten some of the details wrong but I'm pretty sure that's accurate to what I saw. I was hoping someone here would know what show or movie I'm talking about
Yeah but its impossible because from the beginning they wanted to kill of all the characters in the anime so it wouldn't be possible to make another season (most Likely just didn't want to for some odd reason) because in the manga they survive and go further in the story Edit: correcting a spelling mistake

First of all, i really like Op, no doubt. The world is written pretty like you described it so i dont have to add something positive about it. I just dont understand the point of "deep written characters". Yes, most of them have a background and a written detailed. Is that the statement you have tried to express? Cause i dont mind that most of these characters are written in a depth u described. Most of them are black or white and are one-sides characters. For example Sanji:?he would act in episode 50 like he would act in episode 950, so most acting of the most characters is predictable. This is not very deep in my opinion. Just the background is written detailed. Also i think you just illuminate this Anime from a side of a "fanboy“( I don‘t want to attack you with this word). I think there is a huuuge lack of pacing, so i guess thies series would be much better if they would cut 1/3 of the scenes and this animé has a huge amount of "fake-tension“, if you know what i mean. I call it oda's way of hooking the viewer engaged, like the mystery of kaidos devil fruit (which lately oda revealed and shocked the community) no one expected that coming, another would be Garp's past which gave us a glimpse of his power, again it shocked the community because it is far from what is known and anticipated. Anyone who says it is from a 'fake tension' just means lack of true experience and in depth review of the series. On the other side I agree that the pace is slow, but that's the beauty of it, anticipation builds up. FYI, the original plan was One piece originally endinh more than 15 years ago, so to inject multiple climaxes that would keep it in the business for the next decade and counting is a true work of genius, again it has a world record brother. I respect your opinion but I think you're just barely scratching the surface upon viewing, it is no doubt a good anime, but once you engage between the lines, (the real world inspiration of the story) it justs make you appreciate anime to the next level. Have watched Hunter x Hunter, Kino's journey, From the new world, and Yona of the dawn and I would strongly recommend them all. Only problem with Hunter x Hunter is its length, you will require a lot of spare time on your hands to watch it. And Yona of the dawn has yet to actually be completed, so its only half a story. Also completely watched Akame ga kill and Log horizon and neither did much for me. They're not bad, they're only just OK. Watched the first episode of Is it wrong to pickup girls in a dungeon? and I didn't like it and dropped it. Maybe it picks up later on but it came across pure cringe wish fulfillment to me. I will watch Spice and wolf, Samurai champloo, and Astra lost in space when the time avails.

Yeah but its impossible because from the beginning they wanted to kill of all the characters in the anime so it wouldn't be possible to make another season (most Likely just didn't want to for some odd reason) because in the manga they survive and go further in the story

Highly recommend From the New world and Dororo, they’re insane
I've watched 3/4 of that on the list, not to mention Dragon ball, naruto, moribito, boruto, aot, detective conan, dr.stone, opm, monogatari series, sw art, jojo's, etc. But one piece had such unexplainable charisma, the depth of the characters, amazing back stories, info's based on the real world, riveting ploy twists, mysteries. it has a world record and getting strong after 20 fckin years! . The real life lessons, comics, joy and tears it will give you, damn I'm so lucky to live in oda's era, I'll always be a fan until the next pirate era. I hope you watch it with intent guys, I know it's long, but who cares, you're viewing a national treasure that will be alive.for centuries. I invite you to invest time in watching one piece. This is more than an anime folks.

First of all, i really like Op, no doubt. The world is written pretty like you described it so i dont have to add something positive about it. I just dont understand the point of "deep written characters". Yes, most of them have a background and a written detailed. Is that the statement you have tried to express? Cause i dont mind that most of these characters are written in a depth u described. Most of them are black or white and are one-sides characters. For example Sanji:?he would act in episode 50 like he would act in episode 950, so most acting of the most characters is predictable. This is not very deep in my opinion. Just the background is written detailed. Also i think you just illuminate this Anime from a side of a "fanboy“( I don‘t want to attack you with this word). I think there is a huuuge lack of pacing, so i guess thies series would be much better if they would cut 1/3 of the scenes and this animé has a huge amount of "fake-tension“, if you know what i mean. I still enjoy this Animé, but i think these points are important to mention.

I call it oda's way of hooking the viewer engaged, like the mystery of kaidos devil fruit (which lately oda revealed and shocked the community) no one expected that coming, another would be Garp's past which gave us a glimpse of his power, again it shocked the community because it is far from what is known and anticipated. Anyone who says it is from a 'fake tension' just means lack of true experience and in depth review of the series. On the other side I agree that the pace is slow, but that's the beauty of it, anticipation builds up. FYI, the original plan was One piece originally endinh more than 15 years ago, so to inject multiple climaxes that would keep it in the business for the next decade and counting is a true work of genius, again it has a world record brother. I respect your opinion but I think you're just barely scratching the surface upon viewing, it is no doubt a good anime, but once you engage between the lines, (the real world inspiration of the story) it justs make you appreciate anime to the next level. Calling me a fanboy is an understatement, I've rewatched the first 900 episodes, movies, shones, more than 3 times, I own one piece memorabilia, shirts, key chains, watches, etc. I just want to express my thoughts brother, maybe you can answer me better when we have gone through the same one piece experience, and share the joy. Have watched Hunter x Hunter, Kino's journey, From the new world, and Yona of the dawn and I would strongly recommend them all. Only problem with Hunter x Hunter is its length, you will require a lot of spare time on your hands to watch it. And Yona of the dawn has yet to actually be completed, so its only half a story.
Also completely watched Akame ga kill and Log horizon and neither did much for me. They're not bad, they're only just OK.
Watched the first episode of Is it wrong to pickup girls in a dungeon? and I didn't like it and dropped it. Maybe it picks up later on but it came across pure cringe wish fulfillment to me.
I will watch Spice and wolf, Samurai champloo, and Astra lost in space when the time avails.
