Although Mikey still considers Takemichi as a close friend, he knows that he still has to set an example to the rest of Toman that there is zero tolerance to fighting amongst one another since he considers everyone in the gang as his family. But he doesn't want to hurt Takemichi, which is why he is giving him a chance here to redeem himself in getting Baji back in the gang. Otherwise, Mikey would be left with no choice. Such is the cost of being a leader. 😟
Mikey is so weak minded that he manages to make almost every bad decision that puts him and his friends at risk. (From what I've seen so far.) Sadly I don't think Takemichi will pull a Kiryu and just slap some sense into Mikey like I want. Mikey is broken dps with literally nothing else really going for him.
