This is Ciel Phantomhive from Black Butler vs. Oz Vessalius from Pandora Hearts
Two nobel pre-teens with awesome butlers clad in black! We just had to rap them.
We submitted a video for fanime to play that would display the lyrics of the rap, but it looks like they never played it (Not the only they did wrong this year...) So sorry if you couldn't hear a word we were saying during the actual skit
I want to thank every last person involved with this project. We were scrambling around last minute for voice actors and what not and everyone was so patient with me as I fail coordinated this.
I think it came out great despite our many mishaps. We also made a great many new friends behind stage!
We hope to see you all against next year! Maybe for another rap battle!

xD ikr?!?! But I really hope they read the manga of Kuroshitsuji because in that, Elizabeth isn't annoying, she does everything that way to try and make Ciel feel like he's a man. But she's really just badass

I loved her at that part but i was all for her when the manga showed her as a sword wielding badass that surprised even Sebastian
No one clapped for Oz in the beginning?? I know he's not widely popular, but c'mon. I haven't even seen Pandora Hearts yet and I knew who he was.

It actually makes me sad how many people doesn't seem to know Pandora Hearts that well. I wonder, if we ever have a Kuroshitsuji and Pandora Hearts rap battle again, would it be the same as this one? With fangirls cheering over Kuroshitsuji and no one knowing what the heck Pandora Hearts even is? It kinda saddens me to know that such a big manga masterpiece is being missed by a lot of people.
The beautiful plot, the well thought characters, and how it all interacts with one another to give us a great story, it makes me sad that even until the end, this manga, no matter how great it is, will never get the recognition it deserves., but at the same time, I'm happy. I'm thankful to be one of those people that comes across Pandora Hearts and continue pursuing it. Long time fan? No. I'm still very new to this community, and I started to read the manga when the chapter retrace LXXV is released, I guess I got lucky to discover this manga before it ends and to still be a part of those fans who anxiously wait each month for the new release.
I feel that finding this manga is almost like finding my own pocket watch. It brought me to 'meet' the people Oz meet. To be a part of the story, to cry along with them, to laugh along with them. To accept that Elliot died in the most respectable manner, to grieve when Break finally realized what he wants but accepts that his time is up and to hope that at least those two would wake up again. The bitter sweetness of the ending, and the hope, that maybe, MAYBE everyone could have a second chance to remake their 'story' and end with the happy ending all of them wished to have. Pandora hearts will always continue to be a my classical series.
+Inota Ami: Thank you so much for this comment. I was so glad and happy to find some one who love Pandora Hearts in a forest of Kuroshitsuji' fans. I read both mangas and i love both. But it's still kind of sad you know ... seeing your most favourite manga being missed just like that.
At the end of the long journey, i cired so hard. It wasn't a completely happy endding but the most suitable for them, and there is a beautiful sunlight of hope.

People who came here only for Ciel are really missing one of the best mangas that had ever been made. Pandora Hearts is an amazingly fun, creepy manga with a crazy plot that will tear your heart into tiny pieces. In all of this mess you get then amazing characters, full of surprising and never boring backgrounds, and amazing fights and powers! Oz, the main characters, is very different from Ciel and is always (well, mostly) accompanied by his "valet" Gilbert, who is VERY different from Sebas-chan.
And the drawing style of the mangaka is simply breathtaking!
It's maybe a bit slow at the start, but it's just to give you a better knowledge of each character and fuck you up real good later, trust me.

Exactly! Even though I believe they're in the same Manga Magazine, PH does not get enough recognition that it should be getting! So yea, a little sad that no one really seemed to know him in the crowd, I think the rap lines given to him was good xD

Jiraiya Sannin In my opinion, I think Pandora Hearts has a good story line and plot. It's interesting, and while it does have many Alice in Wonderland references I think that makes it even more intriguing. I know there's been a lot of Alice in Wonderland things out in the past year so people might be a little tired. While the art isn't as good as Kuroshitsuji/Black Bulter at the start, it's drawn really well now. Not to mention they made the ending of the anime an anime only one, so I'd recommend the manga rather than the anime. It'd be great if they re-made it actually. Kind of going off topic but basically, yes, I do think it's better and I'm really bad at explaining but the diversity in characters and morals and etc makes me think it's more interesting than Ciel's revenge and his demon butler

In the battle, Black Butler won because of some of the lines that were slightly better than some that Oz said. Also because Gil chickened out. however in the line where Ciel says "your series really lost the plot", that should actually have been directed at black butler, because in Pandora Hearts, everything links up to the ending.

So Oz's name could be

or

We'll never knew till it's written out in English in the Japanese Manga or Anime.
Till then, it's up to fan interpretation.

+EnderEyesWarrior It's Vessalius in the Yen Press translation. It isn't uncommon to have multiple variations of a name for the same character. In the same series there's Levi/Levy/Revy/Revis. I see Levi more often but any of those names can refer to the Glen before Oswald. Same goes for Zai/Xai
Kieumyha Nguyen Bezarius common fan translation while Vessalius is the official translation of the name. In their summaries of the anime, NIS America, the company that released the anime to North America, uses Vessalius.
