1). They actually talked about what ALS is, and about the charity.
2). They provided a link to the charity and encouraged DONATIONS instead of only dumping ice on yourself.
3). They fucking submerged themselves in garbage cans filled with ice water, holy shit!
Going beyond the typical "ice challenge" and actually trying to get the community to help, when most of these challenge videos are more like "lol I poured ice water on me! Now you do it! lol". You all are truly amazing and are honestly the best production company there is! Thank you for all you do.

FINALLY, A VIDEO WHERE SOMEONE EXPLAINS WTF ALS IS! I've seen so many of these videos now and realised "Wait...I don't have a clue what ALS is" cause in every video they do the same thing "I'm doing the ice bucket challenge for ALS and I nominate blah blah blah!"
I did finally look it up and I did know what ALS is, I just didn't know the abreviation, but it's nice that Jack actually took the time to gather some important information about ALS so they can shed some light on what it is! probably the only person who did bother to explain it!
Tell me about it. I've always known ALS as Motor Neurone disease, so I had no fucking clue what is was until I watched the Yogscast do it, as they also explained it.
Gaijin Goomba did a good video explaining what the disease is and how it affect people as well.

As much as I am starting to hate these ice bucket challenge videos, I do enjoy this one. They take the time to actually tackle the issue unlike most idiots who take out the reason for it and just dump ice water on their heads cause they thonk it is fun. Props to AH

Six and a half years later and this has once again come up on my recommended feed :D I've been following RT and AH since 2009 and the amount of entertainment that these guys have given me is phenomenal. Thank you everyone currently and previously at RT and AH (except you Kerry).
Just a reminder on how the Ice Bucket challenge works for the people who think it's stupid: If you deny the challenge, you have to donate 100 bucks to ALS. If you take the challenge you donate 10 bucks, post a video, and call out other people to do the challenge. People can donate more if they want to tho, like how the Game Grumps donated 5,000 dollars (1k for each person) and Charlie Sheen who technically didn't do the challenge donated 10,000 dollars.
So far 13 mill has been raised, or at least that's what I remember last hearing.

He's in a light tank top and shorts and completely submerged himself in the water instead of dumping it on him or being dunked in it. By far the most balls out of anyone that I've seen to do one of these challenges.
I'm not really at all surprised that Gavin and Geoff didn't do this. Gavin probably bitched out, I'm sure. But I am proud of Ray, Kerry, and especially Michael, who did it twice.

Definitely one of the better videos of this that I've watched, they actually tell you what ALS is while most people just say it the names and then do it. Good job guys
The idea of the Ice Bucket Challenge is to raise awareness for ALS. From what I understand, a person who is challenged can either donate $100 and not do the ice bucket part, which doesn't do anything for awareness, or they can do the more accepted thing and take the challenge, which is the ice bucket part plus donating $10, and then challenging at least three more people (all preferably on video, so as to show the challenge to as many people as possible.)
That, and when you dump ice water on yourself, the shock it sends through your body simulates what it feels like to have ALS, which gives people more of an understanding of what it's like.

If they can afford it, yeah XD I was just saying what the least someone is usually expected to donate was (as far as I understand of the whole challenge.) Nobody is limited to 100 or 10, and they don't have to donate at all technically, it's just not common for people to deny the request.
