You are not the first to forget to take off armor, and you won't be the last. I feel like everyone will probably make that mistake at least once. Games built in survival have to rely on fallible human memory to make sure everyone gets themselves set up properly. Personally I'm waiting for someone to screw up and stick a cyan shulker box full of other random junk into the deck spot instead of their deck. Like, I'm sure everyone is being careful, but they're also really excited and I can imagine it happening lol The infinite tome of transparent wisdom is perfect. I love the hermit nods Tango has in these artifacts
12:50 The berries aren't there to top off on saturation directly. It's so you can hurt yourself a little to eat a golden carrot and go in with max saturation.
I've been watching Tango's streams and felt I knew nearly everything about what was in Level 1. But of course Tango didn't show *everything* on stream. Your "invalid" run in this video, though not successful in the artifact-sense, was so delightfully exploratory! At 15:12, we hear two chimes and you ask whether that's the treasure sound - it is! Your deliberate approach to exploring the Library was very satisfying. I wonder how many Hermits waltzed right past those potions this week? Dozens! And I've been really eager to see if all those note blocks did anything, but I hadn't seen anyone try playing them! You're doing so well!
Secrets behind the trapdoors in the ember shop? Not so much. Just formerly the source of flaming bats. GG Joe! Your run 8 was exciting and so cool to see you get your own artifact. A little poem for you: The dungeon kills, Unless you got skills... Stumble Glad you got a tome for your tome and some points on the board!

Loved that haiku! Don’t beat yourself up over taking armour in. You’re not the first and probably not the last to do it. And congrats on that final run!
It’s one in the morning here. Should I be in bed? Yes. Am I? Also yes. Am I asleep? No. Joe hills uploaded a late night video. I will be watching, thank you.
Lol I love how Joe is waaaay over analyzing the "fancy loading screen" that is the rail cart ride down to the dungeon entrance... xD I mean there IS a secret but not THAT kinda secret Joe is searching for... xP
Wow ! What a creepy citadel ! Those rooms are all so cozy and comforting. So excited for more Decked Out, lots of sand and guppies along with ravagers !!
Seeing something you've made or partly made in 3d is really cool, I worked shortly at some place that did 3d printing and before I left I was able to print out a model I made, it was really cool to see it as a real object. Would love to get a 3d printer my self but I don't have the space at the moment.
32:00: “Clearly!” Lol Joe saying he’s from Nashville Tennessee reminds me of me, when I was 3-yrs-old and would tell everyone that I was going to be a country music singer because I was born in Nashville, Tennessee. Then, I would belt out “Delta Dawn”. Lol.
The protocol for running with your armour on is dying and optionally reporting it to Tango so he can refund your shard. So you are totally good. Mistakes happen.
The armor could have been worse. At least you just lost your armor. Somebody, and I won't name any names, forgot theirs on a run Tango was watching on stream. Tango trolled him the entire run. Etho would have been disappointed.
Sorry in advance, but with that title... My boot scootin' baby is drivin' me crazy My obsession from a western My dance floor date My rodeo romeo, a cowboy God from head to toe Wanna make you mine better get in line 5, 6, 7, 8
Joe don’t beat yourself up about the armor. Every hermit has done it I believe. And Tango said on stream while doing runs that he’d forget most of the time if he was running it as a player. No harm, no foul. And we all know you have a lot of integrity and would make it right if you somehow benefited anyway.
You could put some sort of delay on the guppy gyser so you don’t have to refill it every episode. Make it so every 3 or 5 times the gyser gets triggered it shoots off a fish 😊
3:47 after hitting the Button i heard some Pistons, may be nothing but i suspect, it opens a door left of the Entrance to go through to the Depth Charges Room. Tango hinted at something like that in one of the Streams.
Oh well Joe! It wasn't an intentional effort at cheating. Although, it's only fair for it to be an invalidated run. (and you lost armour so that's another way you paid for your wee mistake) Loved the Haiku at the end :)
There really needs to be a path to Level 2 (the Kneeling Man) in the Crypt from the left. Maybe from those Ice Caves beyond the Depth Charge/TNT room. Right now, there are only 2 paths and if you are in a Ravenger stand-off with high hazard, you are doomed.
^ Exactly what he said. And if you can't corral ravagers you shouldn't be going to level 2 yet anyway since it has more ravagers, more open space, and less loops to kite ravagers around.
@@andresperedo1275 Hazard doesn’t have to be high to have bad luck with RNG in two key spots (the ice door at the cave to the right of the Kneeling Man and that single ice block at the top of the left staircase). That leaves a single path up the right staircase and when a Ravenger camps right there, it totally prevents progress. However, this has now been addressed by Tango with the addition of the path through the blue soul-fire and out into the Crypt from behind the painting.
It does not open the forge, it has a ... different purpose. And it does not come out of the dungeon, but it can be purchased in the crown shop (one of the possible contents of the "Mystery Box").
Hypno has already discovered the use of the repair kit without those of us who watched Tango's streams helping. It's pretty obvious once you see the room it's used in. He just posted his stream VOD or you can wait for him to post the 2nd video from that stream which will be cut down to just the runs.

nor the worst, in terms of consequences
33:00 "I need that jump boost! I need that jump boost." - all of Tango's hopes and dreams have finally come true.

Clapping like a pleased penguin that someone else died in the pond trap 😂 I've been waiting for that for the whole week.
Great episode!!!
Hey Joe!
Please refill the Guppy Geyser at the end of the season, so we can enjoy it in the world download.
Howdy joe! I love that you got your own artifact "tome of the hills" which you, coincidentally, used to purchase a victory tome.
Tome for a tome!
He's a veritable Tome Raider.
Hopefully the circle of trust can keep the pond secret from the other hermits! Great video Joe!
It's so nice to see hermits react to their own artifacts! Those were some good runs!
And I like that he got a tome from his tome.
@@AtomikNY, that's quite unironic. 😂

Don't feel bad about the armor, Joe. You weren't the first. I love watching the dungeon senses evolve in the Hermits.
You really ought to revisit the sound test room to properly familiarise yourself with all the sounds. They're so important.
I really appreciate you checking the compass properly and not just throwing it everywhere!
Don't need to @ Scar like that 😂
the epic highs and lows of joe hills decked out runs

The button at the start was indeed good luck on the last run!
(And real bad luck on the invalid one.)
Did you know one of the buttons in the dungeon gives you 10 shards.
this comment is the real punishment for bringing the armor in
Yeah I can’t believe any of the hermits haven’t figured it out yet
Oh I remember that, tango talked about it ages ago!
This is evil. I like it.
The real shards were the friends we made along the way
Joe was right, I absolutely loved him putting the shard slightly off center, comedy gold :D
Awesome runs! Long live the guppy geyser. XD
Does Tango have a room? Also there is a secret in the "You were killed by nothing, you survived decked out." room."
Bruhness... ive definitely been watching these out of order. @TangoTek is absolutely diabolical.

I love that Joe is really great at remembering to hunt for secrets.
You always have such a great attitude joe! Thanks for making these vids!
Congrats on winning your first medium run!
I'd argue that since the armour didn't benefit you that run should count

@joehills, you should tell Tango about the potion you might have and have not used, for those fire res potion might have use in the 2 lava pool.

how does that ice trap work? frost walker boots on an armor stand somewhere?
Yep
There is an invisible armor stand with frost walker boots in the wall behind the pond that gets pushed out just enough to freeze the pond.
