    This is amazing! As a new nurse, I know I've messed up priming the line a few times with albumin because i didn't truly know when i should've opened the vent! This video makes it so easy to understand the process. Thank you very much!

    Is it normal to get an on and off sickness after having an Albumin transfusion because my grandfather after taking it gets sick at least twice a day which lasted for maybe an hour or two, he's taken his last transfusion yesterday and he never gets sick before but started getting sick since his last transfusion.

    Few questions. Are you using a primary line tube for albumin? Also how fast would you typically run the albumin?

    • @caringcasa
      @caringcasa  Год назад

      Hi Diego,
      Yes I use a primary line
      Infusion can be 60 min also depends on underlying medical factors assuming no heart conditions. The ordering provider will specify Infusion rate on order. Hope this helps! 😀

    One thing I would add to this video is make sure that your patient has a blood product consent since albumin is a blood product! :)
