At least that rear mud guard will actually live up to its name. It's ridiculous how many bikes throw road filth up the riders back. I do prefer the Enfield even compared to the Triumph Bobber
For me RE nailed it with that teal colour. Btw if you sit on the bike the gap between the fender and the wheel disappears. Now imagen it with those whitewall tyres RE uses on the new 350 GOAN. Oh boy I just started drooling.
The Classic has always defined Royal Enfield, and now this 650 Classic will take the markets by storm. The rest of the models are just for competition's sake, I own the 350 the 500 and now this 650 too will be in my garage soon. And as the saying goes " F**k the plastic, get a Classic !
I think a big part of why the fender looks so huge is that they left the rear seats off of all the press bikes. Even a rear rack would help scale it down :) Totally agree on the paint jobs. The cream ones don't appeal to me at all, but the black and green with classic liveries are awesome!
Yeah I'll be sticking with my Chrome/Bronze Classic 350. Done a ton of work to it and it's nowhere near as slow as it was stock. I still have my CBR1000RR if I need to get anywhere quicker.
I don't think the fender looks that bad, With someone on it, it probably looks normal. What is harder on my eye is the way they had to lift the tank to fit the bulging engine under it. The 350 tank almost fits like a Lego on top of the engine. The new one looks a little more like an old Honda tank atop an inline 6 engine. Still, I can't stop looking at pics of the maroon one. Love that paint job.
Fun fact. More than 99% of those bitching and moaning about how they "ruined the classic" have never seen one irl. 😂 Personally, I love what they've accomplished and I've actually already pre-ordered one. It's gonna look absolutely stellar with a pair of leather or canvas panniers.
It needs a bigger back tyre , a 150/80 x 18 will give a bigger rolling radius and affect the gearing slightly , but nothing a sprocket change wouldn’t fix
RE is also working on bullet 650 and as we know the only difference between classic and bullet is rear mudguard so once bullet 650 is out you will have one more option available. Already there sighting of bullet 650 mule with squarish rear fender
Hey Uncle Longbeard, Bloody hell just buy the teal one because it looks smashing and what's one more bike.. Prayers Flying from Michigan (United States)
Haha, we don't have such a big garages here as you have in the States ;) Btw I know where Michigan is... more or less... Close to the biggest Polish city... Chicago :D Cheers
the gap between the top of the tire and fender on my 2015 classic 500 is bigger. it's just that the fender on my classic 500 comes down further and closer to the tire in the back. i love this look on the classic 650. and with a rider on it to compress the rear shocks some it looks really sleek. i am getting a teal one for sure.
I know what your talking about, for the people who are seeing the current vesions of classics for them it looks fine, but for us who admire the old classics we know how bad this is. Uneven asymmetrical back mudgaurd low fat sitting made it into bloody crusier bobber which real classic never was.
A lot of the pictures of the Classic 650 the bike was on the side stand so at an angle. I think that made the mud guard look higher in the pictures. On the paint scheme the cream and maroon one the tank could be maroon at the bottom with the cream on top. That would be a more traditional look that people would prefer I think.
Seen it yesterday at the show and as an interceptor owner, I think they have got it dead right. In my opinion this is superb and fantastic value for money. The seating position is also perfect. Definitely a classic 650 for me next. I went to the triumph stand and everything was twice the money and not twice the quality. Royal Enfield for me every time.
I'm really liking the look of the Classic 650. I already ride the Continental GT650, a bit different from the Classic 650 ...but also the Classic 350 (and both are great bikes). PS I like the Red & Cream one and the Teal, I'd probably go for one of these rather than the Black and Chrome.
I have a problem with the twin silencers which are too long, not parallel to the ground and pushing outwards like the interceptor... the super meteor had it perfectly
I think the size of the fender is emphasized by the frame rods on the sides. If the fender could be a touch lower and not have the rods on the side, it could be better, but on the other hand it would look more boring.
Everything on this bike is good except for the tube tyres.... Being the heaviest RE ever, it should get tubeless tyres. Imagine if u have a tyre puncture.... you're done for
I have the W800 with tubes, did 30000km and had zero punctures. But yes, it can be painful. You simply should carry spare tube and patches. Tubeless would be nice but it''s really expensive to keep good look and no tubes at the same time
With the #goanclassic back structure and tyre being low, looks like it's gona envite more dust to the side rack or water during the rainy season to the pillion just like #meteor splashing water on legs of the rider being low seat.. 🙂
People haggling over how massive the fender/ mudguard is… The Indian market here won’t even give a damn about those looks…the name itself is enough to make it sell like a Black Friday event… The fender does look quite big though, but hey, if it does its job then I’m probably okay with it… Wanna see how it’s gonna handle the mostly subpar roads of India…
I'm afraid you're daydreaming. Generally speaking Enfield is reliable nowadays but things like clutch plates, cables, wheel bearings, chain etc. just don't last as long. My w800 have 30k miles on the clock and till now the only things I had to replace were front brake pads and tyres plus one valve adjustment. Even the battery is still the factory one since 2011. However it have to be replaced now. Good luck with the same stats in Enfield. But ... It's still highly probable that I'll get one soon. I really like the new classic. But I'm fully aware it won't be as reliable as my W no matter what...
Let’s just face it - RE really missed it on this bike. It’s just ugly and there’s no way to get around it. I think of the choices the Chrome looks the best but even it’s not great. Sad - I was going to get one but will pass on it until they fix it.
I thought the same until I looked at it in the flesh. And then, I changed my mind. It look the worst from the lower perspective on the pictures, when you look at it from eye level perspective - that makes a difference. But I'm not going to say it couldn't be better.
no need to comment on paint schemes. It's just personal taste. Comment on paint quality and show all the colors but nobody need your opinion about which color is good or crap !
If you don't like it - simply don't watch. You've got plenty of channels like motobob who will just show you loads of bikes and tell on each and every one of them how beautiful it looks. Go there and don't waste your time... and mine. And sure, you can have your personal taste, but have in mind that there are people for example who like British food... Nothing wrong with that, but is it good really?
Reality is RE made tyre SMALLER in rear but didnt bother to make rear fender new but they just kept same fender of other RE motorcycles which have bigger tyres
At least that rear mud guard will actually live up to its name. It's ridiculous how many bikes throw road filth up the riders back. I do prefer the Enfield even compared to the Triumph Bobber
exactly. Important especially here with that lovely British weather ;)
For me RE nailed it with that teal colour. Btw if you sit on the bike the gap between the fender and the wheel disappears.
Now imagen it with those whitewall tyres RE uses on the new 350 GOAN. Oh boy I just started drooling.
It's a mudguard and it is looking fine . It will do its job .
so, a bit smaller mudguard in classic 350 doesn't do it's job? Fair enough
The Classic has always defined Royal Enfield, and now this 650 Classic will take the markets by storm. The rest of the models are just for competition's sake, I own the 350 the 500 and now this 650 too will be in my garage soon. And as the saying goes " F**k the plastic, get a Classic !

You're totally 🎯 on needing to swap out the rear tyre. What were they thinking? It's too low profile and seems at odds with the rest of the bike.
Yeah I'll be sticking with my Chrome/Bronze Classic 350. Done a ton of work to it and it's nowhere near as slow as it was stock. I still have my CBR1000RR if I need to get anywhere quicker.

Either the black/chrome or teal with larger whitewall tires. Chef's kiss

It needs a bigger back tyre , a 150/80 x 18 will give a bigger rolling radius and affect the gearing slightly , but nothing a sprocket change wouldn’t fix
it already have 140 which is too 10mm too much. Even wider tires are good for tractors and cruisers only
@ it’s not about the width , it’s about a taller profile
RE is also working on bullet 650 and as we know the only difference between classic and bullet is rear mudguard so once bullet 650 is out you will have one more option available. Already there sighting of bullet 650 mule with squarish rear fender

Yes, exactly. But don't worry. The problem looks better in the flesh than on pictures
@@UncleLongbeard hope it's not that hopeless in flesh as the classic 350reborn.
Its gorgeous. especially the Teal
completely agree Uncle

traditional look is what we need :)
Very Nice Royal Enfield 😎👍
Just from the video, I can see absolutely nothing wrong with that black and chrome one. It's very, very nice. Drool, drool...
You can drive a car between the rear tire and that mudguard. AWFUL. 350 Classic is perfect.
No
Seen it yesterday at the show and as an interceptor owner, I think they have got it dead right. In my opinion this is superb and fantastic value for money. The seating position is also perfect. Definitely a classic 650 for me next. I went to the triumph stand and everything was twice the money and not twice the quality. Royal Enfield for me every time.
Yep, exactly that.
The bike looks very weird, all the rear is weird, and with the rider on it weird looks!!
There’s something that doesn’t seem right, doesn’t fit
🤔
Nah, it looks great in flesh
I'm really liking the look of the Classic 650.
I already ride the Continental GT650, a bit different from the Classic 650 ...but also the Classic 350 (and both are great bikes). PS I like the Red & Cream one and the Teal, I'd probably go for one of these rather than the Black and Chrome.
Teal I think is better of those you mentioned
I have a problem with the twin silencers which are too long, not parallel to the ground and pushing outwards like the interceptor... the super meteor had it perfectly
I don't see that as a problem but if it really bothers you, you can always use meteors pipes
@UncleLongbeard the visual proportionality felt a bit off... Now I realise even the shotgun 650 silencer are the same
I don't like that bar holding the rear mudguard (fender). Looks just like a bit of an afterthought.
not a big issue for me, also useful for strapping the luggage. That bar was present on original bullet, so that's why it's on classic as well
Rather, have a decent working mud guard that reflects the retro look than a huge radiator and LC engine in a bike claiming to be retro
Love the Classic 650, period.
I think the size of the fender is emphasized by the frame rods on the sides. If the fender could be a touch lower and not have the rods on the side, it could be better, but on the other hand it would look more boring.
Yep, exactly

Teal Green is my choice. They should use that paint scheme in different colors. Light Blue would look good 👍.
I agree 100%, maybe changing the tire for a technic retro.
With the #goanclassic back structure and tyre being low, looks like it's gona envite more dust to the side rack or water during the rainy season to the pillion just like #meteor splashing water on legs of the rider being low seat.. 🙂
The motorcycle looks stunning but I am sure it has a very bad rear suspension. They should improve the existing motorcycles.
Two classic shocks from Hagon won't be more than £250, so it's the last of worries
Perfect retro bike except the font mudguard that looks to tiny and modern for the rest of the bike - the 350 classic front mudguard looks better..
yes it does, but in the flesh it doesn't look that tiny.
People haggling over how massive the fender/ mudguard is…

They should have brought this after the classic 500 was discontinued.
Now it’s too late.
Don't think so, I think it's actually right in time. It's my most viewed video recently and that tells something as well
@ Well yeah, i mean it makes the 350 redundant now.
And every new RE will get allot of views, simply because there are 1.4 billion Indians
Maybe you haven't owned an Enfield lately, just as good as a w800 and as reliable
I'm afraid you're daydreaming. Generally speaking Enfield is reliable nowadays but things like clutch plates, cables, wheel bearings, chain etc. just don't last as long. Shame the pillion has to stand up 😂
there is additional seat but I don't need it. It looks better without it ;)

very nice bike. The bear looks good so much choice 👍
I do ;)
Buy another, and yes, go with the blue one
Looks bad. No doubt.
it does, but in the flesh it loos good
I must say royal Enfield is on steroids
Not a fan of the 650 classic at all.
I can tell that by just looking at your avatar :D Cheers, each to their own mate
No, but it's been on a steady diet of pork scratchings...
yep, a bit but still not fat ;)

@UncleLongbeard you need eyes then
bags... it is ready for bags.
:D
The Color Combination for 2025 are horrible…
black and teal versions are brilliant, the rest not so much in fact
But the colour combination of Goan Classic 350 out of nowhere looks way better than anything they've provided on Guerrilla 450, bear650 or classic 650
