Just found this. We're taking that trip in December 2023. Doing the extra 3 days in Amsterdam (at the Movenpick), then at the end of the cruise, taking the train from Basel to London and a few days of Christmas in London. I'm in the process now of doing my research and figuring out what to bring. Haven't seen all 4 videos yet but would you consider a video that talks about 1) what you wish you would have brought but you didn't 2) what you brought that you didn't need 3) how you packed for the cold weather. I know it was wicked cold this December so wondering if you were able to stay warm. Thanks again.
Hello, that’s so awesome! You are going to have such a great time. Thank you for those suggestions, I am still editing footage from this trip so I will add to a future video all of those questions you asked about!
Hello! I am posting part 4 of the cruise video tomorrow. To answer your questions I highly recommend packing a good winter coat (I had my north face), 2-3 pairs of long Johns to wear under your jeans/pants, warm socks, and good shoes that are comfortable, non-slip, and can get wet in case it snows. What I regret bringing: too many pairs of sweaters because they took up space and I really didn’t wear that many! I would layer and rewear things. Plus, the coat covers up mostly everything anyway. What I wish I brought more of: UNDERWEAR, socks, and more long-johns!! I only brought 1 pair of long Johns.
@@hannahbloomlifestyle Thanks for the reply. You are confirming what I've been thinking but will definitely bring more inner layers to be layered with lighter winter shirts. And if anyone else reads this, I did purchase a 3-in-1 winter jacket, Columbia Payton Pass. It's basically 3 jackets in one - a warm inner layer that can be zipped out and worn alone or worn inside a rain proof outer layer, the outer layer can also be worn alone as a simple rain parka.
What dates were the cruise? We're looking at future Viking Christmas market cruises and weren't sure how international travel would be so close to or on Christmas Day may be for returning to the US.
@@hannahbloomlifestyle no worries! I just wanted to make you aware. I'm sorry it came across standoffish😬. I don't know how other RUclipsrs make their videos more fluid and steady. I've been watching a lot of travel videos and while there's movement, it just seems more smooth. Next of luck to you!
Loved the music you put in the background so relaxing. Thanks for sharing. :)
Thanks!!

My wife and I were that cruise about a week later. Amsterdam is fantastic.
The Albert Cuyp market was great and delicious.
I didn’t go to that one! I’ll add that to the list.

We went from December 9th to the 18th!
I really wanted to watch this but there footage is too shakey and was making me nauseous.
Sorry I tried my best 😅 any tips??

@@hannahbloomlifestyle You may want to use a gimble when recording to reduce the shakiness of video when you move or walk.
I found a software I am going to try for future videos! I had no clue something like that existed
@@hannahbloomlifestyle it's amazing how tech changes so rapidly. I think even some phones have anti hand shaking things.
