- It’s hard to believe it’s been 5 years since the judge said “yes” on adoption day. We were already 5 years into our journey together, and it was such a huge relief. The international adoption process in Uganda was incredibly challenging, but that day was the biggest of our lives. To celebrate this milestone, Adam and I went for a mummy-son date. Looking back, we’re amazed at how far we’ve come. ❤️🌍🎉

Adam won the lottery, he got one of the 'BESTEST' mommy on earth. Emilie, sometimes things can be hard but God gave you a special gift, in the form of your son, Adam. Oh, Emilie and Adam, I had tears running down my face watching this. What a beautiful though sometimes challenging journey the two of you have been on. It was meant to be that you would both cross each other's paths and live as mother and son. Adam, you're absolutely precious, and Emilie, you have the biggest heart. As an adoptive mom I know these emotions and the waiting for everything to be finalized. The pandemic made our adoption process take much longer but it was still no where near the 5 years you waited! So happy for you two❤

What a beautiful video, Emily I especially love that ending. I’ve been with you guys ever since he was a baby possibly the whole seven years. So many prayers and asked for miracles for you guys. I am so glad everything worked out for you with Adam. We know you love him and he loves you too. I know those feelings my husband and I adopted a newborn 39 years ago. It truly is an amazing and life-changing experience. It was a lot easier for us in the United States because there are so many kids here that need a family to love them. I’ll be so happy when the others get their adoption finalized. They love you So much. Congratulations Adam you are 10 now you are beautiful young man. I'm curious to know about you and your family's diets... I know you try to eat vegan, but is this possible in Uganda? Or do you have to alter your diet compared to when you lived in the UK?

It's actually pretty easy in Uganda as most the food is already primarily vegan - beans, rice, vegetables, banana plantain etc!

why did you need to re-adopt him in the uk? is that normal for international adoption? i hope that the others soon get to be adopted too💙
It depends where you adopt from - Uganda is not on The Hague Convention list, therefore Ugandan adoption is not recognised in the UK!

@@TheLartershow in the world are you guys want to make it all happen before the kids are grown? The UK is full of immigrants, just like Germany, I don’t think y’all have much of a chance to get josh and the other kids over, it’s probably wishful thinking, but nonetheless, Adam is a UK citizen and he should be able to enjoy a civilized life and education and not grow up in the slums…

Can l pay for his braces, he needs braces
He does not need braces. Children in the UK do not get braces until they have all their adult teeth - ie, when they are a teenager. This has been confirmed by our dentist. It is not really acceptable to say such things about a child.
