In the spring after a thorough cleaning I pack our fifth wheel with extra clothes, toiletries and canned/non perishable foods. All we do when we want to camp is load a cooler and go.

I love last-minute trips. After our week-long camping trip at the lake was cancelled due to flooding last summer, we took a spontaneous trip to the New England states. it was SO beautiful. We're happy our plans changed.

I know your camper is new to you, but trust me, there will be a time when you have many of the staples (including clothes) left in it so that these last minute trips can happen so much easier. We have been "camping" for close to a dozen years with our trailer left on a seasonal spot. I have a hamper that goes back & forth...bring the dirty clothes home on Sunday, wash & pack right back in the hamper to take back on Thursday or Friday. We also have a small cooler that we use to transport food to supplement what we keep on hand. We sometimes miss the "roaming" around to different places, but having a permanent spot suits us for now.
Hi Mimi! I am so glad to hear you say this. I find myself stocking it slowly with the essentials so I am not always transferring so much before a trip. We have a crate that is in the garage that we put stuff in that is "camper stuff" as we get it. So when we do go to the camper we grab it and take it with. How fun !!!! One thing we find fun about motorhome (rv) ownership is you can be spontaneous anytime of the year. It really helps when you have a rough day or something and just want an adventure break ( that's what we call last minute suprise trips) great video. Cant wait for more. Have a great day. Ps... super cool of you to let the snake live in peace in your back yard. 🐍 we live out on the country and really enjoy having the ' wildlife' around.
Hi Amanda! We are loving the fun the RV is providing for us and are looking forward to many more adventures in it. I grew up on a ranch and was taught that it’s best to let the wildlife live in piece. He wasn’t hurting us and was just doing what snakes do, as long as they are not hurting us we feel just let them be. Thank you so much for watching!

That snake was cute. The pond looks awesome. Glad u opened the door. A spontaneous camping trip sounds awesome. I often do spontaneous trips as my bloke surprises me wiv spontaneous trips. I have my toiletries in makeup bags so they are easy to pack. It makes sense to leave stuff in the camper to make life easier. I normally buy food wen I pack quickly so it’s easier for us but we take snacks wiv us.

What a fun spontaneous trip! Reminds me of growing up in a military family! We never had a lot of money to take extravagant vacations, but we always went to the beach and mountains in our rv’s, bicycles, swimsuits and bibles! We always went to Sunday morning camp services and somehow, unbeknownst to us-(my mom was the culprit) we children always had to sing during the service❣️😆Great memories ❤️

I think trips like this are the best. Luke’s pics of the snake eating the fish is rare to catch on film. I finally remembered something I wanted to you kids. I know central Illinois is rather flat but you should check out the Garden of Gods and Shawnee Forest in Southern Illinois. It’s close to where I was raised. Beautiful area. I sure hope Solo and Sarah get an RV, I know they are a bit skeptical, but they will love it too. My best child hood memories were made at camp grounds💕
