hi there nice to here some 21st century leaps saw you at the sutler in 1999... john d. put me on the guest list we worked at EMI in brentwood...nashvegas dreams... my first intro was "what another man spills" blue me away loved the wrench xylo your a great band live much respect, and yes coffee black, vines are now in the shack...peace and luv!!!
The true measure of a great song of this length. It never outstays its welcome, never overly repetitive, never pompous or grandiose, it's just beautiful to listen to all the way through. It's kind of like a gorgeous road trip/space tour in song.
Lyrics: I don't want to leave you ever And that's a long long time And if by chance that I do Would you be gone? If you speak to me in Latin As a cloud that appears in spring Undulatus asperatus has such a charming ring And it was raining like a movie And it was hard to look away And as we spoke to one another We held our gaze There's much more calm of nostalgia But it's not just up to me And some strong feats of strength Could be all there was to see And should there ever be a question If we will leave this place or when It just goes without saying We'll never work in this town again And we'll have sunshine Filtered through the faces of the fog And I fell so very hard for you And we'll have sunshine Filtered through the faces of the fog And I could not find that article on you It was raining like a movie And it was hard to look away And we shrugged to one another And we held our gaze It was talk of love in Tennessee Of the beauty of the seventies And I had some people on the graveled road We were out there in the fine place And I turned my head out to the crowd You could almost sense their glory And if you took just a few more steps You could join them in the hustle Do the hustle, do the hustle Do the hustle, do the hustle I can see the future in the air With you sleeping in the morning And if all our efforts lead to this And how it barely slipped away Do the hustle, do the hustle Do the hustle, do the hustle Do the hustle
I think Kurt had a side project recently that was electronic. Still to hear this under Lambchop is pretty surprising, but when musicians and songwriters are really that good, they can do anything seamlessly. This is proof.
Haven't heard Kurt's side project yet to be honest;and I agree that for talented musicians, versatility isn't an issue.Their immersion in ambient textures in previous albums was after all one of my favorite aspects of their sound. Not sure how I'd feel about a full album's worth of rhythmic driven material like this though;interesting an experiment though it may be,it is hardly the type of thing I'd look to Lambchop for or would ever return to playing too often on my stereo.Wait and see I guess.
Ξενος Αγγελος Over 11 years ago, Lambchop and Hands Off Cuba (a Nashville electronic duo) collaborated on an EP entitled "CoLAB." Lambchop's electronic exploration is not exactly new at this point.
I actually gave it quite a few listens since my original comment and now consider it a particularly interesting addition to their canon altogether, even if the shorter tracks don't all live up to the epic experimental sweep promised by this track or the album's opening stretch. I'm just curious to see if it'll end up being a momentary anomaly in their discography or the start of a new, less predictable era.
It doesn´t sounds too bad, but I´d rather one studio album with their classical alt-coutry. However Kurt Wagner knows what he does. It reminds me to their 2012 EP Democracy
Wow. Krautrock meets Nashville and a wonderful thing is created.
I can listen to this over and over. It never gets old. Sooo goood. Thank you Lambchop
When Kurt starts singing, it is one of my favourite moments from a wonderful band.
Well, fan of Cluster, Nils Frahms AND Lambchop, and I'm delighted.
Isn't it sublime?
This is amazing , a symphony in different parts ...dance dance dance.... its like water flowing over the heart beat
First five minutes: STUPEFACTION. Remaining 13 minutes: FLOATING. Lambchop, I don't want to leave you ever.
deep and solid sound, crazy, relaxing, warm and poetic moment
After all these years they still delight and surprise.
What an amazing man KURT WAGNER is..... LAMBCHOP do CLUSTER/HARMONIA ... Fantastique !!
This song is like going on a long adventure.
Totally awesome!

Good one....
Epic piece of music.
a musical composition that is a piece of art, the human being needs it for inspiration, to live ...
This deserves so much more credit.
Lambchop is back!
Saw a 6 minute version of this at The Factory (Marrickville, Australia)...needed more Tony!

Just about the shortest 18 minutes I've known.
Right! This song feels like it's 6 minutes long

Extraordinary
Lyrics:
I don't want to leave you ever
And that's a long long time
And if by chance that I do
Would you be gone?
If you speak to me in Latin
As a cloud that appears in spring
Undulatus asperatus has such a charming ring
And it was raining like a movie
And it was hard to look away
And as we spoke to one another
We held our gaze
There's much more calm of nostalgia
But it's not just up to me
And some strong feats of strength
Could be all there was to see
And should there ever be a question
If we will leave this place or when
It just goes without saying
We'll never work in this town again
And we'll have sunshine
Filtered through the faces of the fog
And I fell so very hard for you
And we'll have sunshine
Filtered through the faces of the fog
And I could not find that article on you
It was raining like a movie
And it was hard to look away
And we shrugged to one another
And we held our gaze
It was talk of love in Tennessee
Of the beauty of the seventies
And I had some people on the graveled road
We were out there in the fine place
And I turned my head out to the crowd
You could almost sense their glory
And if you took just a few more steps
You could join them in the hustle
Do the hustle, do the hustle
Do the hustle, do the hustle
I can see the future in the air
With you sleeping in the morning
And if all our efforts lead to this
And how it barely slipped away
Do the hustle, do the hustle
Do the hustle, do the hustle
Do the hustle
super good!
right on!
this is pretty great
YES
Great stuff :)
tout est toujours trop tôt rien n'est jamais trop tard
Kurt's masterpiece, so far ....
This is Ryan Norris's song
Is Ryan Norris traveling with you?
Transport to Heaven
nice use of the synth, kurt
Mary!
Is that true?
...it was raining like a movie...
amazing sounds like four tet. Top bollox choppy
cool one
super sonido solido, sutil ritmico hipnótico, relajante calido y armonico
i didnt want to leave u ever :(
Maybe this band would have took off if they weren't named LAMBCHOP.
"took off" ? Ridiculous thing to say. They are highly regarded and very popular. Lambchop is as good a name for a band as anything else.
…..
Lambchop does electronica?Quite unexpected and uncharacteristic really;looking forward to see how it works in the context of the album itself.

Soon. Won't wait.
Angekündigt.

idk that was pretty underwhelming... i mean minimalism is cool but i don't wanna hear it from my favorite 25 year old country lounge band
I think it's one of their career defining moments. It's spellbinding and utterly beautiful.
gr8 song.
(but to be honest i think the beat adds little to it)
Fucking awful
