- In his Emmy Award-winning series, Jim Davis stars as a Railroad detective hunting down infamous outlaws and bringing justice to the Wild, Wild West!
JOHN WESLEY HARDIN: an outlaw, gunfighter, and controversial folk hero of the Old West, who killed forty men before he was 25! When he cheats an Indian tribe out of their money and kills two of their representatives, Matt and Frankie are brought in on the case.
Always enjoyed watching Jim Davis. Thanks for sharing these episodes!
i just read his Autobiography in one acid trip. It was absoloutly incredible.
I envy you. Great comment by the way!
Love that they use Lady detectives, Jonesey and Frankie Adams. Also a lot True villians of the late 1800's!
"Frankie Adams," played by Mary Castle, in this episode appears "timid" in the confrontation between the sheriff and John Wesley Hardin in the saloon, compared to her in other episodes being more assertive and getting into the action. This was another good episode in this series with Mary Castle and Jim Davis.
I wish these were a little more accurate. Wes Hardin was shot in the back of the head in a saloon. On seeing him dead a man commented that if he were shot from the front it showed extremely good gun skills, if shot from behind it showed extremely good judgement. Hardin was a killer and good at it. Possibly the most dangerous gunman of the old west.
@Bryon Stephens The closer you are in time to the event the more accurate you should be. Just look around and see all the folks on RUclips trying to change history now. Soon history, true history will be lost and folks will spin yarns to get views. I'll bet by next year someone has a video saying there were no gunfighters in the west it was all made up to sell papers or dime novels. I already saw one that claimed the Spartans were not a warlike people and it was all propaganda to scare their enemies.
@@mattholland8966 but that has always been true to some extent. A lot of what we know is myth and legend, and we call it fact. However, no one is going to pretend this era didn't exist. History is revised based on proof, not social media comments.
Beautiful horses, and the actors ride horses very well. I like to see the steam train.
Watching end enjoying from European Union.
Matt Clark, ageless Detective. It doesn't matter when these stories are set or how much time they span, Clark never ages, even in this one. Hardin aged, Clark didn't! LOL
Unm
I used to think that the Texas rangers arrested hardin not the railway detective and his death was caused by a bullet in the back of his head while he was gambling in a saloon
"Willd bill heckok" whas shoot in the back when he whas gambling (by jhon meckol) . hardin whas shoot in the back when he whas drinking on the table nir to the bar thender. he whas shoot by jhon selman how whas afreid that hardin will murder his san ( his san was police officer).
Texas Rangers may have arrested him his very first time, upon which he promptly decided he didn't like the accommodations and noped the hell out of there.
Society painting a damn rosey picture/aka movie studios--- Hardin was shot in the back in a town.
Does anyone know if there is any J.W. Harding documentary as ive searched and cant find any?
I suggest you get Hardin's autobiography "The Life of John Westley Hardin, As Written By Himself" and "Dark Angel of Texas" by Leon Metz. Both available online. Metz based his work heavily on Hardin's autobiography since documents from that period are scarce, but he seems to dislike Hardin and his work is critical of the outlaw.
I find quite a few. Try again.
Some episodes are pretty close to the real story others have been embellished to make them more interesting which Hollywood does with everything.
Awesome. John Wesley Hardin, is my GG grandfather, my father's side.
I am a cousin from the Clements side. I have a large amount of information on Clements but very little on the Hardin side. My Mother was a Clements, her Mother was Minnie Mintori (Searcy) Clements married to Wilkiam Edward Clements. So if interested, please email me at bkuykendall@hotmail.com

¡GUSTO DE HABER VISTO DE NUEVO A LA ACTRIZ-CLOWN DE RITA HAYWORTH,: MARY CASTLE.!
John Wesley Hardin - Old friend Dick Webb, a great guy.
Someone should make new tv episodes of this
This video is totally false it did not happen that way. Hardin was shot from behind, he did not know what hit him!
They got some of the basic fact right but most of the film is Hollywood revisionist history. I don't know why they have to twist things around when the true story of Hardin is plenty interesting enough.
The constable shot Hardin in the back of the head..
Sellman walked into the saloon where Hardin was playing dice and shot Harding in the back of his head. It was murder.
Live by the gun, due by the gun, all the people killed by hardin, there family was rejoining
how can they write these lies and pass them off as truth? he didn't die like this!
+SiCoope You are absolutely correct. it suits the agenda of the Hollywood communist sympathisers and 'anti-racist activists' to distort the truth. In reality, they are the real lying, racist, self-delusional clowns.
Total propagandist shite.
Take it easy.Theseshows were based on actual people and actual events sometimes. It's meant for a tv show or that one movieTitanic that was based on actual events and actual people but I think the two main characters were fiction. You gotta be able to tell these things apart.
yep he was shot in the back of the head 1 time then in the chest 3 more times. he is my great great great uncle
