Combined, they released over 100 recordings under various names in less than a year during the peak of the movement. Aliases: The Acid Kids, The Airplane Crashers, Balearic Beach, Beat Professor, Berliner Meisterschaft, Boys & Girls At The University, The Brotherhood Of Sleep, The Brothers, Bulgarka, Chinese Ways, The Crumbsuckers, Danse Macabre, Ei Mori, Erotic Dissidents, Explorers Of The Nile, Freak Brothers, Fruit Of Life, The Hippies On LSD, J.E.T., Kings Of Agreppo, Mission Impossible, The Moneymakers, Mr. Horse, New Beat Generation, New Beat Sensation, Opium Monks, Probably The Best Band In The World, Secrets Of China, Super Nova, Taste Of Sugar, The Techno Bastards, TNT Clan, Trio Balkana, The Vacuum Cleaners, The nickname "Morton-Sherman-Belucci" is allegedly a parody on the prolific 1980s Hi-NRG producer team of Stock, Aitken & Waterman.
Being a Belgian, I remember that time as being an incredible period of fun. Nothing was taken seriously.

I have well over 100 songs that sample her voice from various tracks and releases she has put out. back in the day, this was actually very hard to find, but if heard this you NEEDED this to spin, took like 2 months to get this vinyl, this was like super "renegade" shit, with the sampling of Karen Finley, (how meta), very silly but for sure the "bomb" for a short time

Originally it was Morton, Porton, Sherman and Belluci, but Marianne Valvekens (Porton) didn't want to be on the foreground (so far as i know), so she only did some vocals in the studio. You can clearly hear that this track was made and recorded in the time/period they made the Poesie Noire album Tetra.

Almost all Belgian NB producers did that, and because of that the scene seemed huge than it was in reality. It's also likely the reason how the genre gained so much traction in Benelux region.

I used to love this song
Most of the New Beat videos were appalling and this is no exception. Nearly all of Morton Sherman Belluci releases were made solely by the producers themselves, with sampled vocals. Any live or video performances were only done to meet the demands of marketing or promotion! I am guessing this video was knocked up in one afternoon, with four office interns, after a quick shopping trip for the required "New Beat" outfits :)
Well the video put a smile on my face. Neither the music nor the video have any pretentions, it's just some kids having fun. The guys have a bit of an innocent look on their faces, very different from all the insecure posing of today.
Several Morton, Sherman & Belluci productions have the original voice of Porton (Marianne Valvekens) and later on they searched for the right girl or woman to soundmix/playback for the particular project.

I suspect original artists didn't get credits on purpose - either people involved in that scene would immediately notice the reference, or maybe it was "easter egg" for anyone else with higher-than-basic music taste.
