I love how the intro got derailed from Batman vs Ironman to turtle superiority.
At this point, Ryan is sabotaging himself. He always knows who'll win, but then chooses the other option because he's got to go with his heart. I mean, Ryan, you said it yourself. Turtles are superior. Of course Turtle Man would win.
Funny you should bring up detective work, because iirc Iron Man once built a literal "Detective App" for the Avengers. It's purpose was to gather all the data at a crime scene and then use that to deduce the culprit.

One of the rules of Death Battle is no prior knowledge of the opponent unless specified, so Batman having no specific prep against an Iron Man threat is in line with DB. Technically Tony calling Batman Bruce is a violation unless Tony figured out his alternate identity in a crossover or something.

See, one of the rules is prep time is not allowed. Unless the characters canonically know each other, they both go in with no prior knowledge to assure a fully fair fight.

I think a good way to explain how it came to this ending is actually the difference in prep works. Batman preps by finding and planning for everyone's weaknesses while iron man preps by ensuring he has no weakness against who he's about to fight. Fighting Thor? Make an armor to compete with the lightning. Fighting magneto? Make an armor that won't be effected by powerful magnetic fields. Etc.
And then there's one I think a lot of people seem to forget or I may be misremembering? They often bring up how he has a plan to take down every member of the JL for example but never seem to remember the follow-up contingency for if he himself goes rogue. The contingency for Batman.. is the Justice League. A group of powerful individuals with varied powers, strengths and weaknesses that Batman can't have all the answers for all at once. And Tony has that all on his own with the Iron Legion and his varied suits.
@BoredHub I feel like it was in the animated show or something? Like I said, I may be misremembering it or maybe I made it up in my head. You know, the league discovers all his plans and question him about all of them, eventually that comes up as the last one or something.

Franklin Richards is the son of Reed and Sue (Mr fantastic and Invisible woman form the Fantastic 4), who was born a Mutant (Xmen) with powers over reality, matter, universe (yeah pretty op) but also he is a KID!!!, apparently Charles Xavier helped Reed to keep his kid under control but that didn't help since the kid likes to create universes

Still a bit surprised they went for Iron Man as the win, seeing Death Battle is the kind to always mix all media to define the most perfect version of each character. I recently saw a video with the entire Injustice story and inside it, Batman stole the codes for a pill Lex Luthor produced that allows one to gain Superman's exact powers through his DNA. Batman manufactured this for himself and literally beat Superman on hand to hand combat with it. If anything, I feel DC would tend to bring things even more insane than Marvel.
