Learn to quickly fill a large series of number in Microsoft Excel 2007. This tutorial shows you how to put 100,000 numbers in column A in just a few seconds. This is a great way to save time when numbering large sets of data in Excel and it will save you a lot of time. This method is much better than just using the quick-fill handle in Excel.

11 years later, brother, and this is still helpful. easy when you know how. impossible when you dont. god bless you my man !
12 year later bro. Ty, big help for a beginner like me.
Oldie but a goodie! I'm working with a few 100th database lines again. I put a series in most databases, great for filter sorting and cleaning up. Thanks! Btw, I save extra large file as binary spreadsheets (.xlsb), usually reduces sizes significantly.
Great! Thanks! That's how I thought it worked. I was having an issue because it wasn't working for dates. I figured it out though. If you want a series of 2000 dates, you can't step 1 to 2000 because dates are actually serial numbers. You need to figure out your end date serial value and step to that (e.g. date 3/30/22 is serial 44650, so you would step 1 to the needed serial number instead).
You must be your mother's favorite child. Thank you so much!
Thank you! I’ve used Excel for years but my mind just went blank on how to add a series of numbers. I appreciate your easy tutorial!
OMG! I am so glad to have found this tutorial! You saved me so much time on this spreadsheet I am making. I have to increase each number by .25 inches up to 300 inches and i was not looking forward to the task. This got the job done in about 2 seconds! Thanks!!
