Since so many are asking, that high note at 1:25 was in his head voice. Yes, guys have a head voice. Girls also have a falsetto. That note didn't have the airiness of falsetto nor did it have the dark color of chest. It had the resonance of a perfectly executed head voice.

I agree totally with what you have posted here! Jesse's voice is SUPERB, and he came into a vocal competition where he was, if not equal, better than the level of talent on the judging team. And yes, he doesn't need coaching, he just needs an opportunity to record his voice so that we can appreciate his wonderful talent. I really hope he is offered a recording contract with a producer, and goes on to bigger and better things in the future!!

Of course, there are many others who are talented and are worth listening to, but they may have one hit or two throughout their competition. Jesse, from the audition to the live performances, consistently produced soulful and moving works of art. All were hits. To me, his is the voice.
